Anyone know a little about Cody, Wyoming? Even if you have just went on vaca there...? Question: I am trying to write a book and the setting is Cody, I need to know the following;
1) is there any forests in Cody, or woods or something like that
2) Whats the weather like there
3) is it a popular city
Thanks so much for any help
Answer:
Was there this morning.....
*No forests from what I saw actually in Cody, but in a short trip west, on will find forests, a state park with a large lake and a canyon. 50 miles away is Yellowstone National Park.
*For the time I was there, it was dry and clear, but there was some smoke from a fire just over the mountains. (low-high 80's).
*Relatively busy, population of about 8,500.
Large museum/Western Heritage Center, rodeo grounds, etc. big tourist area.
I am by no means an expert, and these are just general observations. Hope it helps.

Really need help! I need to find the cheapest air fare, Round trip From Chicago to Wyoming!? Question: Can anyone tell me where to look to find the cheapest Air Fare from Chicago to Wyoming, over Christmas Time. My daughter and her husband have moved to Wyoming ( Cody) along with my two Grandchildren, my husband and I want to spend this Christmas with them, but the tickets are so high!
Answer:
Good grief! I see what you mean!! Here's fare history on this route, plus current fares for upcoming 11 months: http://www.farecompare.com/search/year.html?departure=CHI&destina tion=COD&p=1 ... $741 -- ouch!! You can fly to Europe for less!
I did some more searching for you, adding Milwaukee, Rockford, Billings and Casper, and found $388 per person if you go Midway to Billings (Dec 19-25; Frontier).
I also did some "power-searching" for you with ITAsoftware.com and Bookingbuddy, which checks Kayak and many other sources. Best I see on CHI-CDY is $528 (Dec 19-25; Northwest+United). CHI-Worland is $443 (Frontier).
Best and cheapest to book direct from these airlines.

Are there any group homes/homes for people with autism in Wyoming? Question: The group homes in Wyoming have to be in Jackson and Cody.
Is there a website where I can find group homes by state?
Answer:
I live in nc and there are homes around but they are under different web sites..
try this http://wdh.state.wy.us/wlrc/canyons/canyons_index.html
you can ask them about group home for people with autism in your area. my brother is autistic and in a group home. he is the only one in his home with autism. there are six guys there and he has his own room. pretty nice. all the guys have different disabilities and they all get along great. 3 workers on first, 3 on second and 1 on third. it doesn't have to be a home just for people with autism, my brother is doing better being around different types of people. lots of autistic people are more aggressive...my brother is....but nobody else in the house is so he doesn't get attacked. my brother can not talk but 3 of the guys can talk well so he has some roll models. they also tell us what my brother has been doing. they don't try to cover up things like the workers might. one worker pushed my brother once and another client told and she was fired.

Where can i meet gay people my age? Question: Im 16 years old and i have been out about being gay for a few years now. But where i live its hard to find anyone that is gay. I live in Cody Wyoming, and i want to know where i can meet someone that is gay in my area, and can possibly hang out with. I have no idea where to go. I am homeschooled so socialism at a school isnt possible. So if anyone can help me, please do. I would apreciate it. Thanks.
Answer:
Internet!
Look for organizations such as PFLAG, places where you can meet and talk with other gays/lesbians. Often, drama classes will harbor quite a few gays.
But frankly, try moving somewhere else. Wyoming is NOT going to be a great place to live an openly gay life, I'm guessing.
EDIT: And when I say "internet" I mean USE the internet to find things like PFLAG, etc. It helps to live near a big city... but how many are there in Wyoming?
