is there any non satellite high speed internet available in the outskirts of Brodhead wisconsin?

hi we just signed up for satellite internet about a month ago, and we hate it. they are so picky with restrictions and slow speeds. is there any way i can get high speed internet without satellite in the country outside Brodhead, wisconsin?
Answer:
First of all the first person has no idea what they are talking about.
If you live out in the outskirts, you can likely not get cable internet. That is understandable because neither can I. (In case you did not know.. digital "cable" will not be necessary next year, that is the point of converter boxes, and satellite.)
Anyway You can try wireless. Currently Verizon, Sprint, At&t, and t-mobile offer it, but with restrictions of about 5GB per month, and a little higher for T-mobile. They are not a much better option. Alltel did offer unlimited, they still might.... but they won't once the merge. The best thing to do if you can not get DSL from your local telephone company is too get wireless from a local provider, if you have one. I know I looked in the back of my local telephone book, and found several that I never knew existed. They are the best options, because they are often unlimited.
Accelerated dial-up is not accelerated at all. All that happens is they compress web pages, images, etc. and by cutting out stuff, and compressing it makes it seem like you are getting faster internet. In reality you are only getting the same speed which is less than 56kbps, but pages may load faster. However downloading files, music, watching videos will not load or download any faster.
Satellite internet like you said is a real pain. But if you can not get wireless, or ADSL, you will not really have a choice. You could try another provider, but they are all about the same. You could check with your telephone company and see if they offer IDSL, or ISDN. I doubt they offer either, since no almost no one still sells ISDN, and IDSL never was accepted, (even though IDSL, unlike normal ADSL is not affected by distance).

Wisconsin people, has anyone been tubing in Brodhead on the sugan river recently?

No, but it's been raining so much that most people are staying out of the rivers right now...many are above flood stage & not great for boating! (sorry I can't tell you about the Sugan River)
On a brighter note, my back yard is now a lake and the birds are taking baths in it and having a great time!
