Moving from Wisconsin to upstate new York?

I will be moving from Wisconsin to the Albany NY area. Any helpful hints. I am looking to keep the move as cheap as possible. I have a 1 bedroom apartment so there is not alot to move but the most my car will tow is a 4x8 trailer which will require me to leave alot behind but the quotes I have gotten for a uhaul truck with towing my car are around $1200 plus gas which could be another $500.

Can anyone identify this book or know the authors name? I know this won't be easy.?

The book takes place in a small town in Iowa. The girl is the daughter of a cop and was abused as a child. It is based on a true story though I am not sure that it says that. There is more than 1 book by this author. It is a female author. She has lived in numerous places including Albany, Wisconsin.
I have the names Ruth and Dawn in my head. I know that the authors pen name is her grandmothers real name but I can't remember either one.
Its an adult book . The book is very graphic and not for kids and there are more than one in the series. At least one was out last spring and I believe one was published last summer/fall

The small towns of Wisconsin have rated very well as great places to live in recent surveys. It might be hard to find others who live there on Yahoo! Answers, but Facebook might work. I work at a hotel and I have guests coming this weekend who want to know about a good place to go tubing in the area. The two they are looking at are Crazy Horse in Brodhead, WI, and S+B Tubing in Albany, WI. Anybody ever been to either of these or have a recommendation for a tubing site close to Freeport, IL?

NO but i'm in somerset,wi where we have the apple river where ppl party every weekend on the tubing river very big partys every weekend ppl come from all over. It's crazy
