Questions Possibly Related to Clinton, WashingtonProvided By Y! Answers
Why do people not understand that Clinton is part of the Washington establishment? Question: Clinton claims that she is an agent of "change" but if we are to believe her, she has 35 years of trying to make changes and has failed. Washington is no better today then it was in 1992 when Clinton won the Presidency on the grounds that he was a Washington outsider.
Yes, The Clinton years were great. We had a great economy, we were not involved in detrimental foreign policy, and the budget was balanced. But Washington did not change, The Clinton's failed on healthcare, the Clinton ethics were constanly in question. Now Hillary has become cozy with the lobbyists and the Washington elite. A vote for Clinton is not a vote for Change.
Answer:
I like Obama or Edwards better as agents of change because of their anti-lobbyist stand. And just how much foreign policy experience did Bill Clinton actually have before becoming President and he did alright. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough reported that Obama and Colin Powell were talking back and forth on the phone, so I'm sure Obama can surround himself with good people with the expertise to help him. And if he doesn't know anything about foreign policy (as some people say) then why is he on the phone negotiating with political leaders in Kenya to try and negotiate peace there as well as trying to run for President here. I don't dislike Hillary; I just think she is an agent of status quo instead of change. If she is elected, it's politics as usual in Washington since she is cozy with lobbyists. I won't bash her, but a smart man once said, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but everyone is not entitled to their own set of facts".

Notice how "change" went from some huge overhaul of Washington to returning to the Clinton years? Question: Have you noticed how Obama's change rhetoric has morphed from some massive overall of Washington, removing the old guys and doing something radically different--which he held during the primary--to now returning to the Clinton economy?
I would think that the best way to return to the Clinton days would have been to elect a CLINTON. But of course, Obama couldn't say that during the primary. How disingenuous is this? How politics as usual? How Washington of him?
Answer:
You got that right too. BO is a fraud. Has nothing to do with the color of his skin. I like Allen keys, William Walters, Steele. They are brilliant men. But, then me being white and having a sister in law who is black. We are close family. She is not voting for him either.

Why does Clinton want to disenfranchise the Democrats of Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine? Question: Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine do not release popular vote counts and are not included in popular vote totals.
Answer:
I agree with convex on this answer.
To the other comments that were made, it was not just the DNC that excluded MI and FL. The candidates decided and agreed on the fact that these primaries would not count, as well as the Governors of each state.
Sen. Clinton did not make an issue of FL and and MI until she started lagging in the popular vote. As far as sen. Obama not agreeing to a redo is understandable. Why would you want a primary redo financed by Rendell and Carville? I would consider it biased. The only reason Hillary received votes in MI is because she was the only one on the ballot. 40% of the Democrats that voted in MI were uncommitted and who knows who voted for Sen. Clinton because Sen. Obama was not on the ballot.(Sen. Clinton even stated that MI did not matter...hmmm)
Convex is accurate about the caucases and the entire process needing reform, but for this election we are stuck with the current rules and we should abide by them.
