City DescriptionBlack Diamond is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,970 at the 2000 census.
Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Black Diamond ranks 64th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked.
Black Diamond was officially incorporated on February 19, 1959.
Black Diamond was a coal mining area. Eventually a town grew up around the mine in the 1880s and it was named in honor of the Black Diamond Coal Company of California, which owned and operated the mine. The town was home to around 3,500 people by the early 1900s, almost all of which produced coal, which was transported to Seattle via the Pacific Coast Coal train.
After World War I, the town shut down the mine as it was no longer viable to maintain. However a second mining boom struck the town in the early 1930s on the strength of multiple mining operations promoted by the Morris brothers through the Palmer Coking Coal Company. Mining has continued until very recently through the Pacific Coast Coal Company, formerly of San Francisco, and the prospect of future mining operations remain strong. Today the town is home to its original mining population, as well ... Read MoreCity Contained By:Timezones:Size:

The cost of Road Construction? Question: I'm developing a piece of property. I just looked at the site plan and i currently have to put in a 700' section of road.
Blacktop/Asphalt only, 24' wide private road, no sidewalks, 4" of asphalt surface. I'll have to run standard storm drains, utilities (water)...sewer main is already there (so i'll only have to run side-sewers from each unit to the main)...will put in natural gas line, electricity.
This is in the State of Washington, city of Black Diamond (30 mins south of Seattle)
Any idea of what I can estimate the cost (per lineal foot) for constructing this road?
Just FYI -- I have gone to several on-line sites and tried their calculators. I've found out that i need about 415 tons of asphalt hot-mix material, but that's all the calculators will say. None of them get into any detail or depth about total road cost. The area is level, will need minimal grading, very little fill. Most likely a crush-rock base course.
Answer:
I'm sorry I truly don't have a dollar amount, but I do have a thought. It won't help initially perhaps.
I lived on Bainbridge for 4 years in this decade BTW.
I a house built in a private, small development. Our road was put in of course, before actual building began. In my case the builder charged back the cost of the road to each lot/potential owner. Might you not do the same? In my case that related to a lot that may have usually sold for 28 K, I paid 43 K for, then the cost of building.
A side note. I have traveled extensively throughout the USA and at one time road depts. used to post their construction signs showing a cost per mile. I don't see such any more. Probably because of the outrageous costs, and over-runs. I seem to recall one sign stating $374K Per mile, though that was Highway.
As one other suggests you might be able to get an estimate from a paving company, but it's unlikely "for free"; plus they'd likely try to sell you their service. It might be that you'll have to get multiple estimates for each different service you have to install? Your permit and inspection costs will likely be substatntial as well?
Just in curiosity; are you an all inclusive development company?

, aMichael Caine film about diamond smuggling with Sean Connery crossing North Africa? Question: The film started in the desert, and zoomed in on a land rover or body in the sand dunes. There was a black actor who was Michael Caines sidekick, something like Denzil Washington, and they were looking for diamonds. There were a few famous actors in it and of course a girl, towards the end a helicoptor exploded in the air. The film was not Ashanti, as I think Michael Caine was about ten years older in this film. Maybe it was a made for TV one.
It was shown on television back to back with It Happened in Rio some years ago, and I just cant remember the title, and have never seem it on TV since. Any answers??
Answer:

Is carbon-14 dating accurate? (read the whole article or dont answer)?
Answer:
Yes it is really accurate. However, who cares??????
This is absurd because Carbon-14 dating is not used to prove ANY of the claims your article says C-14 dating is used for. It is not used to date the Earth's origin, as it can only be used for the past 60,000 years. It is not used by evolutionists to prove evolution. It is not used for any of this. Your article actually says that C14 dating can be used to date things that are millions of years old- yet no scientific claims have ever been made dating anything with C-14 for more than 60,000 years. This is a bald-faced lie. It simply can't be done. Your article is complete bull and any true Christian would be ashamed of spreading such untruth.
You are doing nothing more than tilting at windmills. No one with any scientific knowledge will pay you any attention, because your own article states that it has no proof of Creationism, when it says "those that point to a young earth, rely on unprovable assumptions. "
Mostly those that point to a young earth rely on ignorance (which includes ignorance of the Bible).
The religion that is afraid of science dishoners God and commits suicide.

WHO IS THE FEMALE SEXUAL ICON OF THE 20th CENTURY TO YOU.......? Question: I THINK MAE WEST, IF IT WASN'T FOR HER PUSHING BUTTONS IN WASHINGTON AND HOLLYWOOD WITH HER BRAZEN ATTITUDE AND HUMOR, I DON'T THINK MARILYN MONROE WOULD HAVE EXISTED. MAE WAS JAILED MANY TIMES FOR DOING VERY LITTLE, AND WHEN SHE GOT OUT, SHE DID A TAD MORE.....HE HE
YOU GOT TO REMEMBER WHEN SHE WAS A STAR WOMEN ONLY HAD BEEN VOTING FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS. THE WORDS "IS THAT A GUN IN POCKET OR ARE YA JUST HAPPY TO SEE ME" WAS CONSIDERED VULGAR DURING THAT TIME. SHE CHANGED A LOT OF FOLKS ABOUT SEX WITHOUT BEING NASTY ABOUT IT.
I ALSO LIKE HER CAUSE IN REAL LIFE SHE HAD A BLACK MAID, AND BOUGHT HER A ROLLS ROYCE, DIAMONDS, AND FURS, AND SHE LIVED WITH HER LIKE ROYALTY. SHE THOUGHT EVERYBODY DESERVED TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING. AND SHE WAS THE FIRST ACTRESS TO HAVE BLACKS SHOWN IN THE COTTON CLUB IN CHICAGO. SHE WAS AWESOME, AND WAY AHEAD OF HER TIME. WHAT DO YOU THINK...........
OH IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO SHE IS, CHECK HER OUT ON DVD, SHE WAS AWESOME. WATCH "I'M NO ANGEL", AND "MY LITTLE CHICKADEE" WAS THE BEST.....
Answer:
That would have to be
Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis
She is the set Icon of the 20th century in my opinion..
She wasnt in Movies or anything like that.. but she might as well have been she was the most watched and talked about lady ..other than The Princess Diana.

It's some lyrics I wrote, I wanted an opinion from some people outside the Hip Hop Internet Commmunity
Answer:
Sort of reminds me of Alanis Morissette's song 'Isn't it Ironic'...the lyrics are pretty good...but it would depend on if they were actually sung instead of that boring monotone that rap is so fond of.

Neidhart had been fired and was filling contractual obligations, which including jobbing the tag titles to another team. In what should have been a minor point, the top rope broke at one point during the match. The Rockers defended the titles for a week after that, but then Neidhart was re-hired by the WWF, and Vince McMahon decided that the title change never actually happened, in one of the goofier decisions of the 90s, and one of many to affect the careers of Shawn and Bret. As an explanation, a story was sent to Pro Wrestling Illustrated about the rope break causing an "unfair working environment" for both teams, and hence the title reign was annulled. This was simply to cover up for the fact that they reported the title change as fact a week prior and needed a reason to no longer report it as such. The title change was edited out of the Main Event broadcast, and thus went down in history that the Rockers never had the belt.
