    However you do it, it is not a pleasant commute. I-66 and Rts. 29 & 50, the major highways, are nightmares at rush hour. As you are going in before the worst of morning rush hour, the inbound trip driving should not be too bad, but your outbound trip is at the peak of rush hour. Carpooling is a popular option and can save money, but your hours may make that impossible. Check with your employer for carpool options. Most agencies in the DC area are good about helping workers avoid driving. An option is I-66 to the end of the Orange line Vienna-Fairfax Metro and then Metro to the station closest to your job, but much of Ft. Meyer is rather far from the closest Metro Station. Another option is a Metro bus to the Pentagon, as at least some of them follow the roads at the periphery of Ft. Meyer.
