I'm trying to find out if "Callie M. Dermid United Methodist Group Home for girls" in Bristol, Virginia ... Question: still exists.....I lived there for awhile, when I was a teenager, and the people (house parents) who worked there really meant a lot to me.....if anyone has any info. on this....it would be greatly appreciated....TY
Answer:
I did a search and came up with nothing. It is probably unlisted so people that are not suppose to find them can't. If you were to contact one of the local United Methodist Churches of that area they might be able to relay a message to the Home, then have them get in touch with you. If you look up United Methodist Church on-line in Yellowbook in Virginia it gives a lot of listings to choose from. Best of luck.

I need help with my diabetes type 1 and my psoriasis!!!!!!? Question: Ok my father has type 1 diabetes and psoriasis very badly on his back, head, and underarms. He was taking some kind of diabetic Medication called Avandia 8mg., we believe thats what it was called. He has switched doctors and the one he has now wont prescribe him that medication because it is not yet proven to help with psoriasis. But I have took it before and it made my psoriasis go away pretty much completly. Do you know of any kind of medication that is proven to work for severe psoriasis. I would prefer a site that has Avandia for a decent price. Also has anyone else tried this medication or know anyone that has, if so what was the results/side affects. Serious answers only please!
Also if possible do you know of a site that takes medicaid insurance located in Bristol Virginia for Avandia or any other medication that is proven to cure psoriasis.
Answer:
I had a rash over my knees, elbows and ankle bones that the doctor said was psoraisis. It did not respond to psoraisis medications that were prescribed. It did go away completely when my blood sugar control improved. I did not take Avandia though. I was prescribed Novolog and Lantus insulins for my diabetes. Perhaps it was just the fact that improved blood sugar control helped the rash resolve.

Are You Sick of illegal Mexicans Taking our Jobs? Question: I am getting really sick of the Mexican Invasion costing so many jobs in the Southwest Virginia- East Tennessee area. My husband is a brickmason. He is the 5th generation mason in his family- our son is the 6th. Up until just a couple of years ago brickmasons had contractors ringing their phones off of the wall wanting them to do work for them. My husband had to turn down dozens of callers because he couldn't do it all. Things have sure changed . Now, a lot of contractors in this area have gotten dollar signs in their eyes and all that they can see are cheap Mexican workers. My husband has actually had a contractor (real builders that know how to actually build a house are really scarce around here anymore) pull Mexicans on the job that he was working on because he was in such a hurry to get it finished that he couldn't wait the 2 weeks that it would have taken to do the whole job. They will pull in a huge crew and wipe the job out real quick. They waste a lot of brick though (they get paid by the 1000 brick). My husband is a very good, fast mason. His speed and quality is not the issue here. Most of these workers cannot even speak English. It is really aggravating to have lived in a place your entire life and have your livlihood seriously threatened by people that are not supposed to be here in the first place. How do we get rid of this problem? Also, on another related note: It was announced today that there are hundreds of jobs being cut in ANOTHER local factory, Bristol Compressors. I was told several months ago that a construction site in Mexico was marked with a sign that read:" Future site of Bristol Compressors" Is this a coincidence or is there another company by the name of Bristol Compressors?
Answer:
You are right! What I want to know is what is "Raciest" about being angry that there are people who LEGALLY shouldn't be here who are getting the jobs and the LEGAL people who are citizens aren't being hired because they don't want to pay what they are worth.
So much for the saying that illegal aliens take the jobs that Americans don't want to do.

How much do u think these guys messed up their lives? My dad (NICK) has been in jail for 8 yrs b4.now151 mnth? Question: ABINGDON — Two men charged in a bank robbery in Troutdale last June were sentenced in federal court on Jan. 4.
Steven V. Bannister, 18, of Midwest City, Okla. and Nicholas E. Stallard, 36 — also of Midwest City and formerly of Galax — pleaded guilty to one count each of bank robbery Aug. 27, 2007 in U.S. District Court in Abingdon.
Stallard also pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to rob a bank.
Stallard received a sentence of 151 months in jail, while Bannister received 33 months.
Both defendants also were ordered to pay $8,683 in restitution and to serve three years of supervised probation after their release from prison.
According to evidence presented at an earlier hearing by Assistant U.S. Attorney Zachary Lee, Bannister entered Grayson National Bank on Ripshin Road in Troutdale about 11:20 a.m. on June 6, 2007.
He was wearing a disguise that he and Stallard had previously purchased and presented a teller with a note demanding money.
Bannister received $13,802 from the teller and fled on foot.
He was then picked up by Stallard, who was driving the getaway car, a four-door Toyota parked on Route 16.
The two then drove to Ashe County Motors in West Jefferson, N.C., where they parked the Toyota in a parking lot and rented a Ford Taurus.
Stallard turned himself in to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department the next day and Bannister was apprehended by special agents of the FBI and officers of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg (N.C.) Police Department after officers received information regarding the bus he was on.
The investigation of the case was conducted by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police and the Bristol Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
BTW...I'M COMPLAINING.I HATE MY DADDY FOR THIS.I'M HIS LITTLE GIRL AND I ONLY SPNT 7 YRS OF MY LIFE WITH HIM.I'M MAD BUT I DEAL.....IDK WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT ANYMORE..IF ANYONE HAS BEEN IN THIS SIT.CAN U PLEASE HELP ME..TELL ME HOW YOU DEAL?
Answer:
Why did Bannister receive a light sentence, while your father received probably the maximum sentence?
Didn't your father assist the officers in apprehending Bannister? Didn't your father voluntarily surrender, while Bannister was captured?
There are a lot of holes in this story...
