    Weekend getaway in upstate NY?

    I'm trying to plan a weekend getaway for an anniversary to some nice town in upstate NY, preferably the Adirondacks. I wouldn't mind somewhere in Vermont as well, as long as it's a few hours away from the Albany region. I'm asking for anybodys help or suggestions if they've stayed anywhere in the area.     Just made this trip last weekend myself!! There are many beautiful towns in and around the Adirondacks. We stayed in Saranac Lake. The Lake Placid/Saranac Lake area is nice, lots to see and do. The Olympic Center is there, and tours are available. As well as Whiteface Mtn, drive to the summit or take the gondola's from the ski center. The drive to the summit is a beautiful drive with great views once you get to the top. A large tourist area is Lake George. I don't know much about this area, but lots of places to stay. Indian Lake is a more low key area, and beautiful- we drove through on our way further north. If you are the adventurous type, hiking and biking is plentiful this time of year. and of course skiing in the winter months. The leave are at their peak right now too, so you can catch some great scenery if you hurry and make your trip now!!

We sold next to nothing. A few months later, the display was removed. Why was there no interest? We went to SUNY Albany from 2004-2005. In the summer of 2005 she moved to Louisville, KY with her sister to work at the UPS hub "Worldport" to make money and get free tuition at University of Louisville. I went down there for several months to visit, before we broke up. I worked at another gas station/convenience store. What a selection of pornography! We must have sold $1,000 a day. The area was lower middle class, blue collar. The area was kinda redneck, even though a bigger city than Albany. Why were they so big into pornography? Now in Vermont, a small town, you just see that sort of thing at all. Maybe a tiny bit in a "big" city like Burlington, which is half the size of Albany.
