The name of an eating establishment located in Utah between Castle Valley and Needles Outpost? Question: The above was opened in 1954
Answer:
There are two places in Utah that are referred to as Castle Valley. One is south of Price near Ferron, just north of I 70. The other place is south of I 70 near Moab. Since the Needles Outpost is in Canyon Lands National Park I am assuming that you are talking about the one near Moab. Moab is only a few miles out of your way as you go from one place to the other. I have looked at all of the stuff I have for that area (and it is a bunch) and I don't see any eating establishments, though I have been to a place in that area called the "Road Kill Cafe". It is open seasonally, or when ever the owners decide they feel like it. I have been there twice, once after hiking around that area for 4 or 5 days and the food was great. The next time I ate there I was driving to the Needles area and it seemed like the food was not so good. It only goes to show you that you will eat anything, and like it, after you have been eating dehydrated foods and MRE's for 5 days. If you want to post more information about which area you are talking about I may be able to give you more detail.
