How do you feel about the new nuclear power plant to be built in Bay City, Texas? Question: The NRG Energy company has applied for permit to build a nuclear power reactor in Bay City, Texas. It will be the first new reactor in the U.S. in 30 years.
Answer:
Well....I am not sure about that. Do you really believe that a nuclear power plant would be such a good idea so close to home? Probably would be a good idea if it was built in Alaska in the middle of no where.

Anyone lives or know Bay City, Texas? Question: Hello, everyone! I am going to move to Bay City, Texas from Phoenix, Arizona. I have been researching about the place and I have couple concerns regardiing crime rate and diversity.
Crime rate:
it says that violent crime and property crime is 1.5 higher than the national average. Is it true?
Diversity:
It seems like it is mostly Hispanic, White and black. Are there other nationality such as Asians?
Do you recommend any other nearby city that is safe and diverse city other than Houston?
Thanks so much everyone!
Answer:
Bay city is way further than houston. If you want, google on map location to see how far. I have never known Bay city to have a high crime rate but I do know that it does hold one of the biggest Nuclear power plants. Bay city is known for being a nice quiet country town, though I wont take away the fact that it does have its own problems just like everyone else. Its just not as heavy or on a larger scale as Houston or Dallas or San Antonio or better yet Phoenix. Culture down here is very mixed but as for the Asian community ... it is more in the Houston Metroplex. But that should not drive you away from where you want to live unless you have mixed feeling about living in that area unless there is a larger popluation of Asian community. Other than that no one really cares about anything or another unless your a trouble maker.
I hope I helped and good luck on your move. By the way... Welcome to Texas... our heat here is wayyyy different from your heat honey.

how can i find gas milliage feom san antonio texas to bay city mich? Question: what would the gas price from santonio texas to bay city mich by car
Answer:
Go to map it, get the miles and divide that by the mileage your car gets and that will give you an approximation of how much gas you will use. You need to determine how far you can get on a tank of gas and base your fill ups on the prices of gas in the particular state you will be stopping in. This is will also vary with the load you are carrying, the weather, and the traffic or whether or not you will be running the air or not.

Info on Fishing Moses Lake in Texas City, TX? Question: I am considering taking my boat out to Moses Lake to fish this weekend. I would like to know if there is a closer boat launch than launching from the texas city dike. And if so the name of the bait camp or marina where i can launch.Additionally I would like to know the do's and dont's for this area such as where not to anchor, or if there is a high risk of sandbars and things of that nature. I am trying to learn new areas to fish in Galveston bay and just would like to go about it as safe as possible.
Answer:
You can try the marina in San Leon. I forget what it is called but if you are traveling from 45 south you can exit Hwy 646 to Bacliff. After you pass Hwy 146 you will travel until the road ends and make a right. After traveling about 10 miles where the road ends again you will see the marina to the left.
Travel slowly during the low tides especially if you plan on entering the floodgate. Try to keep at least 50 yards distance from other boats.
Good luck

Any saltwater fishing along the Texas Coast yet? Question: I know that the coast is in bad shape right now, but I've got an itch this weekend. My favorite spot in Texas City is no longer an option. Does anyone know if fishing is possible around Galveston (West Bay, Pelican Island, Seawolf, San Luis Pass, etc.) or if there are any other spots not too far from Houston that I could hit this afternoon?
Answer:
I'd catch and release if I were you. The Bay is still too contaminated. TPWD are tracking more than 20 contaminants.
For catch and release try the public launch in San Leon by Clifton's by the Sea and Noah's Ark at 646 off 146. Friends took kayaks out of there today and caught reds and trout. I wouldn't wade or take a Power Boat. Too much stuff in the water. It's too dangerous.
