    bangs: cute or not?
    Question:
Okay, i want bangs. But i live in texas and my hair doesn't grow that fast. Right now, it is about shoulder lenght and relaxed and a dark brown color. My face is round and my forehead is normal sized... I want to know whoever has these bangs: do you like them? does your forehead break out? would i look good in them? are they cuter than side-swept bangs? http://celebrity.hairresources.net/LongHairLongBangs3.j pg http://www.whosthedouche.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/nicol ebangs.jpg http://www.hsh.no/imgs/studier/mariamena.jpg i want to cut it during the summer so if they don't turn out that cute, i can grow a little bit back before school...sorta a makeover thing i was thinking more the last photo.. also, do you think me being black would affect the..effect of the bang? (just asking) thanks though♥

    Answer:
Yeah, bangs are definately great. I think they work for just about anyone. One of the things I have learned is that hair grows pretty fast in the front of your head, so if you don't exactly like them yourself, you're only stuck with them for a short while. Your forehead only breaks out if you keep your bangs greasy. If your hair is thick, people can't see the acne underneath. The pictures you've posted don't represent all bang styles. You can style yours the way you want to. Yeah; I'd say yes to the bangs.

What is the correct description for hair layering in my case? Professionals only please?
    Question:
I have hair that is in actuality to the middle of my back in length but you cannot tell because it is extremely curly (spiral) and that is natural. Plus I live in Texas where there is high humidity. So my hair only looks to be at shoulder length. I have bangs on top that I blow dry straight but the rest of it is one length. I am tired of this much body and someone suggested layering. I am not sure if this is the correct term because layering may actually make my hair MORE full and this is not at all what I want. I want my length to show. Do I ask for "thinning out" or is there another term? Professionals only please?

    Answer:
I know how you feel my hair is very curly and it is very thick it's only a little past my shoulders and I have to use two boddles of hair dye when I dye it and I hate it..... but my mom used to cut hair and work with it and so I asked her this "in the summer how can I keep my hair straight?" and she said "that is simple just get some sort of gel or something like that," (I use Sheer Blondie stuff that helps alot) and I said "then what do I do?" and she said "put it in you're hair and then straighten it." that's all the help I can give and I hope that it works!

Why did Texas wait until 2004 to ban necrophilia?
    Question:
If Texas is so republican and right-wing, and they love the death penalty like I love BJs, why did they wait until 2004 to make it illegal for a mortician to bang the corpses in his care? This is a serious question, and no, I am not a mortician. Just a question demonstrating the duality of conservative lawmakers.

    Answer:
    is it illegal?.......damn!

Is there a legal way to get out of my lease?(in texas)?
    Question:
the apartment complex i live in is a disaster zone. They have decided to convert the units for sale and have begun demolition even though 50% of residents still live here. Every morning construction workers wake us up with banging on the walls(apt next door) and they sound like they might come thru the wall. this goes on from 8 am till 6 pm.monday thru friday, and even on saturdays too!!!They have trashed the whole complex, there's construction materials EVERYWHERE. The workers have no regard for the current tenants or our safety(they left two of the demo'd apts wide open all night last night)The office has officially "closed" and is no longer accepting any package mail for anyone. In short its absolutely terrible and we've got to get out of here. I do not feel safe here any longer, and have heard about break ins and suspicious persons with guns around. What can we legally do to get out here? we don't have a property manager anymore. they closed the office completely and there is only a "part time " maintenance guy!! All weekend, they've just left apartments lying open, like an open invitation to theives, bad guys etc...can i get out of this lease legally and STILL get my deposit back???

    Answer:
It is child's play for a real-estate lawyer to break a lease for you, but don't do it yourself. They don't charge much but doing it legally can save you a lot of $$$ and legal trouble afterwards. When the lawyer does it, it's no muss, no fuss. I used to be a reporter and we did a lot of items on "horror" rented apartments and houses. Our intreprid help guru would tell them what to do in his column. But even if it's a palace the lawyer can break the lease for you. A lease isn't worth the paper it's written on as far as enforcing payment for the full term IF you get it voided by a LAWYER. And the owner can not by law move until you have failed to pay. So keep current with your rent, see the lawyer, and move out at the end of the month. ps, if you have already paid April's rent you can move out the day or the day after you see the lawyer. He'll give you a call and tell you that the lease has been legally voided. You will be entitled to your last month's rent back because of the construction. It violates the "quiet enjoyment" law that exists in all 50 states. But I wouldn't hold my breath. That's why lawyers can break any lease. Any noisy neighbor gives him the legal grounds (as well as 100 different regulations written into the law). These provisions apply even if the neighbour does not live in a property owned by your landlord.

haircut and should i get straight across bangs?
    Question:
i am getting my haircut and i was wondering if it would look okay if i got bangs cut straight across http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh175/ktrose_09/Chri stmas2007089.jpg i am the one with the glasses. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh175/ktrose_09/Ch ristmas2007109.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh175/ ktrose_09/Christmas2007105.jpg i am the one holding the texas hoodie! sorry these pictures aren't very good but they are the most recent ones i have. i would also like suggestions about what type of hairstyle to do!

    Answer:
Yes, you would look good with a full fringe. But the rest of your hair needs a better shape or you'll look like you've teamed a diamond with a plastic ring. Have a full fringe that rounds downward slightly at it flows into your hairline. Next either grow your hair long or have it cut into a neat bob so that it matches your fringe. If you don't do those things you'll look odd. Presently, get out your hot tongs and straighten your current style poker straight to make it look slick and shiney until you cut it into a bob or grow it longer. Whatever you have the patience to do. Pepper. P.S. Your face is not round.

I'm thinking about buying a four wheel drive in the next year, what would you recommend?
    Question:
I’m moving back to Anchorage, AK where it’ll be needed sometimes. I was wondering what gives the most bang for the buck, whether I should go new or used, etc. It would also be nice to get something with a little carrying capacity so I could bring most of my junk up with me from Texas. I hadn't thought about it actually, I'm familiar with the AlCan but that alone might be reason enough to take a ferry. I like suburbans but I'm guessing gas prices are going to be up around 3.50gal by next year and that would kill my wallet.

Most valuable PhD program in Public Policy?
    Question:
I would like to obtain a PhD in Public Policy, I have pretty good GRE scores, a 3.8 for my masters. I wrote a well researched thesis and have applicable experience in South Texas and the Florida Keys. Unfortunately, my bachelor's GPA is 2.4. What schools could give me the most bang for my buck? What are my chances of getting into a good school?

    Answer:
Eh, schools don't care about your BS after you get your Masters. They will ask for transcripts but what you did last is what matters most. Consider Berkeley's Program. One of the first and one of the Best. I have a friend that is attending that program.

    Six Flags Fiesta Texas Poltergeist?
    Question:
ok...this ride seems cool so I just have a few questions since I'm going there in June 1) Is there more than one train operating on the track? 2) Is it ever a long wait? 3) It seems pretty rough and seems like it bangs you around a lot...how hard is it on you? 4) Is it worth the wait? please and thank you!

    Answer:
This is a fun ride, and here are the answers to your questions: 1. Two trains can run on Poltergeist. If the park is not very busy, you may see only one train running. 2. It just depends. I have seen the line get long, but that is during the busier days at the park. 3. Since there are no over the shoulder restraints (lap bars that also restrains the ankles) this ride more enjoyable. Poltergeist can be agressive with sudden changes in direction, but it is not too hard on the rider. Just keep your head back on the headrest during the launch, and you will be fine! 4. Poltergeist is a fun ride with a nice launch. If it is your first time riding, don't worry about the line and ride! Avoiding summer Saturdays will help beat the crowds. Poltergeist is not one of my absolute favorite (as in top ten), but it is still a fun ride, and I make sure I ride Polty a few times every time I go to Fiesta Texas. Enjoy your trip!

Noisy air cleaner housing on 1984 Mercedes 300 SD turbo diesel?
    Question:
First off, kudos to "anywhere but texas". Once again he was on the money with a repair issue. My car has idled poorly when I come off the freeway for several years and nobody could fix the problem. He suggested cleaning out the ALDA connection. Totally fixed the problem. My mechanic was thankful for the help. The new problem relates to a loud racket coming from the air cleaner housing. When the car is idling it makes a terrible racklet like metal to metal banging against each other. I went under the hood and pushed down on the top of the housing and the noise went away. Is there some sort of rubber grommet or spacer that should be installed under the housing that will quiet this problem? Thanks in advance!! Daren.

    Answer:
If pushing on the housing killed the noise, it tells you something is loose there. Just install some kind of rubber gasket (bushing) under it and make sure everything is tight.

I have long long hair, what's some cool ways to put it up?
    Question:
My hair is super straight, which looks nice down but it's also very thick and I'm in Texas and it's summer and it's way too hot for this. Any good ideas for cool hair-do's that wont fall out all day that will be off my back? I already do a bun and braids but they pull back from my face and give my hair no volume, since I wear no make-up, It's not a really good look for me. I was considering cutting my bangs? My boyfriend thinks this is gross and doesn't want me to cut my hair at all. I wouldn't mind if I could find cool ways to put it up. Help Please!

    Answer:
Try parting your hair in the middle before you put it up, instead of pulling it straight back. It' s less severe, but a bit 'Little House on the Prairie". 1] chignon 2] french twist 3] pull back, twist, fold in half, and add barette to hold up. 4] one high, off center ponytail 5] one high braid Bangs flatter most of us. They accent the face, and enhance the eyes.Try a few wispy ones at the salon to see how you like them. [ Is your hair long enough to pull up over your forehead? It will look even better than that. ] It's your hair - you decide.
