Are there any interesting sites between South Texas and Southern California worth visiting? Question: I have a long drive at the end of the month, driving from Brownsville Texas to Los Angeles, California. I have driven from Houston to Los Angeles before and gone through the old Route 66 trails and have been to the Blue Whale of Catoosa, Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Bandera Ice Caves in NM, Crater in AZ, Center of the Universe in Felicity. Any other sites or restaurants to stop at?
Answer:
The last time I drove from Houston to the central coast of California, in the eighties, I deviated all the way to the Grand Canyon. But assuming you will eventually pick up Highway 90 West on your trek north from Brownsville, you should consider taking US 285 north and going up through Ft. Stockton to Carlsbad, NM. Take at least a day and tour Carlsbad Caverns. After that, If you've never seen the Grand Canyon, continue north on 285 and after passing through Roswell (you might want to stop and visit aliens) pick up US 40 west at Albuquerque. (I believe 40 and the old 66 are the same in that area.) That will take you through Flagstaff, which is only "spitting distance" from the canyon. Plus it's nice and cool there this time of year. You can continue on 40 to California and pick up US 15 at Barstow or you can deviate slightly and visit Las Vegas (I did that coming back). US 15 will take you to I-10 and straight to the Los Angeles area.

Talking Texas....Name these 3 artists from the Lone Star State.? Question: 1.He was named Official Ambassador to the World by Texas Governor Mark White in 1985. "Home with the Armadillo" became the Official State Song of Texas! The tune, written while stranded and broke in London in 1973.
2.When he is not out performing for the crowds, you will find him raising cattle, bailing hay, and training Quarter horses on the land that his family has owned since the 1840's just outside of Bandera Tx. He has a beautiful wife named Emily and a son named Charles Augustus.
3.Over their 9 year history they have been known for their own unique version of loud, raucous country, energetic live performances, and critically-acclaimed studio recordings. When their song "Llano Estacado" landed in a Dodge truck commercial that frequently aired for many months on television stations throughout the nation, the West Texas band with the strange moniker soon found themselves performing on the biggest stages in the Lone Star State.
Happy Trails:)

What should I do? Question: My boyfriend and I decided to slow down in our relationship. We met a week ago and was moving too fast. Well we already planned on going with his family to the lake with his daughter and mine. I think I will still go but my question is.... the 3rd weekend in June he asked me (before we made the decision to slow down) to go to his family reunion in Bandera Texas. We would leave on Thursday and return on Sunday. I am not sure about that weekend since we did decide to slow down. Should I wait to see how this weekend goes? Please help. I am recently new at dating again since my divorce. Thanks!
Answer:
Slow down a LOT. You just got out of one relationship. Dont be ready to jump into another so quickly. Put stronger energy/attention into your children. They may really need it at this time in their tender lives. And it can be very soothing for yourself as well.

Hilarous Texan joke! Please star if you like it!? Question: Only a Texan could think of this.... from the Country where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this story.
Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Bandera, Texas.
After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing.
After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car which he fell into.
He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.
Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry summer night) flicked the blinkers on, then off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patron vehicles left.
At last, the parking lot was empty, he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the road.
The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, and promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test.
To his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed any alcohol at all!
Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken."
"I doubt it," said the truly proud Texan. "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."
Answer:
awwww that's a good one!!
The local bar was so sure that its bartender was the strongest man around that they offered a standing $1000 bet. The bartender would squeeze a lemon until all the juice ran into a glass, and hand the lemon to a patron. Anyone who could squeeze one more drop of juice out would win the money. Many people had tried over time (weight-lifters, longshoremen, etc.) but nobody could do it.
One day this scrawny little man came into the bar, wearing thick glasses and a polyester suit, and said in a tiny squeaky voice " I'd like to try the bet" After the laughter had died down, the bartender said OK, grabbed a lemon,
and squeezed away. Then he handed the wrinkled remains of the rind to the little man.
But the crowd's laughter turned to total silence as the man clenched his fist around the lemon and six drops fell into the glass. As the crowd cheered, the bartender paid the $1000, and asked the little man "what do you do for a living? Are you a lumberjack, a weight-lifter, or what?" The man replied "I work for the IRS."

El blanco symboliza pureza (en la fe católica). La agila en la mitad symboliza la herencia azteca de los mexicanos.
Slide 3 Turisma- Yucatan

Música tradicional inclue Mariachi, Banda, Norteño, Ranchera, y Corridos.
(Traditional music includes .....)
has the largest media industry in Latin America, producing Mexican artists who are famous in Central and South America and parts of Europe, especially Spain.
Answer:
Very good! The errors are minor.
Slide 1, last sentence: I would have said, "Tiene la mayor población hispanohablante."
Also, you need a "la" before "esperanza" and "Península Yucatán".
