Questions Possibly Related to Bailey, TexasProvided By Y! Answers
Will Bailey's liquor go bad if sitting in the trunk of a car for about 1 month in Houston Texas? Question: The temperature has ranged from around 40 degrees to 90 degrees - the bottle has gotten hot and cool. The bottle has been opened although it is almost full.
Answer:
I wouldn't drink it.
Bailey's is supposed to be stored in a cool location. With the variance in temperatures (40-90) and the fact that the alcohol is a cream liqour, I would dispose of it and start out fresh with a new one.
Sounds like someone forgot about the bottle after a hearty night out and about with St. Patrick.

Does anyone have information on Robert L Jones that died in Bailey County, Texas in 1945?
Answer:
Here's the info from the Death Register for Bailey Co:
Texas Death Index, 1903-2000
about Robert Lee Jones
Name: Robert Lee Jones
Death Date: 23 Jul 1945
Death County: Bailey
Certificate: 28381
This is from a State Index. You'll have to contact the county (or go visit and save the costs) to get a copy of certificate 28381.
If you have a year of birth and any other information on him, like kids, spouse, year of marriage, etc. we can try finding him through alternative records. This was a time of war. There might have been quite a few things happening at the time. The death index isn't telling us much.

What would be the effect if McCain picked Hutchison for VP? Question: Of course, most assume McCain will pick either Romney or Pawlenty for his Vice President. And everybody is looking for him to try to lock in the conservative vote.
But what if McCain picked a woman, like Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, would that help him at all? Would him choosing a woman help him bring in unhappy Hillary supporters?
Answer:
She would definitely help sway any "alienated" female Hillary supporters disappointed with Obama turning her down and/or the party not nominating her. They may also gain many of her supporters in general since she gained almost as many delegates as Obama did, yet he chose Biden, who received far less (Biden delegates< Obama's-Hillary's???)
To touch up on one of the previous answers, I would be tremendously surprised if abortion had any significant impact on the VP pick and its influence on the election- the GOP is more concerned with snatching swing votes and as mentioned above, a woman is a great idea. These swing voters are far more focused on economic and energy related issues. Moreover, I highly doubt this issue will have much influence at all in the general election because once again, the electorate itself is obsessed over energy prices.
The problem with Hutchison is the same as Pawlwntly's: they're nobodies, and one of Obama's weaknesses is being a nobody (nobody knew about him before the dnc race). McCain needs a familiar face to balance out Obama's lack of experience, and one that's more appealing than Joe Biden's.

Why would McCain pick a 2 year Governor from a small state? Question: If McCain wanted to put a woman on the ticket, why not a solid conservative experienced lady like Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison from Texas? Why pick such a thin resume?
Nick, Nick, Nick...the voters picked Obama, McCain picked Palin. We are talking about judgement here.
For those who are confused about my reference to a small state, in politics that generally refers to population, not geography. People elect Presidents, not acreage.
Answer:
I think McCain made a huge mistake on this one. There were so many better candidates. This was only done to pick up Hillary supporters and this will fail miserably. If heaven forbid something happens to President McCain. Palin would be president. I don't think she is even close to being ready. Yet I admit I don't know much about her other than she has been Governor of Ak for less than 2 years and was a mayor of a small town.
I think this choice dooms McCain.

Would a woman running mate for John McCain give him an edge in the General? Question: Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas(sorry i used her middle name) hope i did not hurt anyones feelings, has been mentioned as the leading choice for the Republican team, what say you?
Answer:
I don't think it matters. What seems to be most important is that he finds someone younger (maybe in 40's) to appeal to more of the younger crowd.

Are you upset with your state senator? Question: I am very upset with my Senator who voted for the Dream Act, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas. The majority of the people said No and she voted against us. or she voted for cloture, which means to bring it to the floor again. Doesn't No mean No?
She says she will be leaving her term early, I think so has hopes of running for Governor. I just hope all Texans remember she voted for the Mexican trucks to freely drive on our roads and also this Dream Act which has been voted down 3-4 times now.
Answer:
Yes, I am represented by Feinstein and Boxer out here in CA who are hell-bent on granting amnesty and giving this country away to illegals and providing them with every free service possible.
Since I know I cannot change their socialist minds, I decided I better get in on the ground floor of this amnesty thing.
Thats why I sent them the following letter:
Dear Senator Feinstein/Boxer ,
As a native citizen of the United States and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you
My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted.
If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.
Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for my family and me because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.
Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school
applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.
Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.
If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative.
Thank you for your assistance.
Your Loyal Constituent,
I am still waiting for a response...

Why haven't the Senators who have urged President Musharraf to resign gracefully ask the same of Bushfraud? Question: Bushfraud is now flirting with the poll numbers of Congress. Why aren't we rioting like the Pakistanis?
Three senators who met with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf after opposition parties won a governing majority last week urged a "graceful exit" from power for the close Bush terror-fighting ally.
"Were I their political adviser, that's what I would advise," Sen. Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Sunday. Also endorsing a negotiated exit rather than a push from power was Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas."
Answer:
neo-con,cannot castout neo-cons.

Huckabee seems a shaky VP choice for McCain; what do you Republicans, Independents, and Hillary Dems think of: Question: Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas?
Not too conservative as to alienate Independents but more conservative then McCain, articulate, more experience then Obama (a lot so), and youngish.
Answer:
He will need a very articulate and intelligent running mate. I don't particularly like Huckabee. I think the Republicans will want Hutchison to stay considering if McCain is elected, Arizona will get a Democratic senator because the governor is a Democrat. A great scholar who is a great speaker like Obama and who is smarter on the issues is Newt Gingrich. He solidifies the conservative base and allows McCain to court independents and Democrats who are disgusted with the choice of Obama.

How do you feel about toll roads? Question: Once again, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has come through for the people of Texas. She is pushing to ban tolls on federal highways.
In my experience with local toll roads, they are a total rip off. I can understand creating a toll system in order to pay for the construction of a road or highway that was not funded by tax payers. But once the loan has been paid off the toll booths should be removed, and the road should be free. That is not what has happened locally. It has turned into a money making business, and has ended up benefitting the people less and less. Sometimes I see traffic at a stand still on the toll road during rush hour. I thought the entire purpose of paying to ride the roll road was to avoid traffic to begin with. Otherwise we would just drive on the street for free. If we get stuck on the toll road and lose time because of it, are we ever refunded the money we paid for the service? Absolutely not!
And how about the gradual increase in cost of each toll? We find ourselves paying more and more, but are we getting any more from it? I don't see how. I see fewer booths where you can actually have someone break a 20 dollar bill for you and an increase in EZ Tag lanes, which do not require a paid employee to operate. More savings for them AND more revenue due to higher toll costs.
It seems like a horrible nightmare to continue this trend onto our interstate highways, which is what some people want to do.
Thank you Sen. Hutchison for fighting to stop this terrible disaster.

What does a senator do? Question: I'm doing a project for government, and I have to include the responibilities of my representative. My rep is United States Senator for Texas Kay Bailey Hutchison--and I can't find out what she does. What does a Senator do besides vote on things with the rest of the Senate?
Answer:
Basically, that is exactly what senators are for, the vote on things (bills laws, foreign policy, going to war) and try to make what they want to pass, pass. It is kind of like student congress if you have ever participated in it, they propose amendments to bills to improve them for the better, and in the senate since there are 100 members, if there is a tie, then the vice president comes and makes the final decision.

The internet is changing and you and me will end up with the cost to go to sites. Check out my question today Question: It would be wise to check this out. I have contacted both of my Senators regarding big companies that are slowing down speeds on certain sites especially politicians who are upset with the big well known bloggers.
I live in Texas and contacted, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson and told her I do not want bit companies buying into changing the way we use the internet. Look what happened to google and China.
Read up on this and you will find I am right and even if you are working for an internet provider, you may not know at all. The ISP's are in the business of seeling their ISP.
Senator kay Bailey is on our side and my other Senator has not decided because he does not like big blogs and their truths especially those from Iraq.
Here is the site Debbie, and anyone else interested.
You are very smart to ask about this, so here it is and when you are there you can contributre to helping if you so desire.

There are quite a few respectful answers and I appreciate that.
I answered some people in an e-mail that did not see my updates.
It really does not matter what party you vote for, this is informations we can all participate in.
I mentioned my sons blog of 12-13-14,000 readers a day because some people really enjoy the bigger bloggers like Instpundit. Yes , he leans conservative. Dean's World, (dean esmay says he is liberal but he sure does give credit to the other parties and is like a lot of us wondering about the elections coming up.
I started a small blog due to an ailment and I am going to physical therapy. I have a very positive outlook on so many things and feel in time I will be able to go back to flying airplanes.
If you agree with the site then tell others and come back to see who everyone here picked as the best answer.
Take Care and last update....I think ;-)
Answer:
It is not in our present gov't best interest to allow the free flow of information and speech. The best way to conquer is to prevent communication. Without the flow of info you can't really know what is going on and only can make decisions based on what is on the face. You can bet that the costs will become unaffordable to most very quickly. Thanks for the web site.

Which Political Female can the Republicans Pick for Vicepresident? Question: Secretary of State Rice.... that bring black votes and Female Votes...
Sarah Palin==== Alaska Governor she is Beautiful!
Senator Elizabeth Dole ... smart and has experience
Governor M. Jodi Rell Connecticut
Kay Bailey US Senator Texas
Answer:
I like Sarah Palin, but she's only one year into her first term of office. I think she'd rather do a little more where she is before she moves on to something else.
Kay Bailey could certainly help in the south, but I don't know that much about her. Plus, I don't think he's in too much danger down in Texas.
As for Condi Rice, I think she's too tagged with "Bush fatigue" to do anyone that much good. She's a bright woman, to be sure, and savvy, but she needs a few years out of the Bush administration before she can start really campaigning for (or with) anyone. I think she should run for office in her own state for the time being.
Can't say much for Governor Rell; don't know her. I guess that leaves Senator Dole, but then a host of mailers would go out about how the Republicans are just trouting her out so they can show they're "open-minded" and don't discriminate. This is something that just won't work against Hillary Clinton.
