Chloroform traces found in Casey Anthony’s car, FBI lab reports; What do you think of this latest development?
    Question:
By Amy L. Edwards and Bianca Prieto / The Orlando Sentinel Thursday, September 4, 2008 All along I thought this was an accident. This story just gets worse and worse. ORLANDO, Fla. — Chloroform traces were found in the trunk of the car driven by Casey Anthony, the jailed mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie. Sources told the Orlando Sentinel that the chemical — which can be used to knock people out — was detected by preliminary tests conducted by an FBI laboratory. It was detected in the same trunk that an official last week said air-sample tests show once held a decomposing human body. Anthony, 22, will go before a judge this morning on additional check-fraud and theft charges that were filed against her Wednesday. The charges stem from more than $700 in checks that Anthony is accused of stealing from a friend in July and then used at Target stores, Winn-Dixie and cash to herself. She already faces charges of child neglect and filing a false statement to law enforcement stemming from the investigation into daughter Caylee’s disappearance. The child was reported missing more than six weeks ago. The role of the chloroform in Caylee’s disappearance was not clear Wednesday. However, there is evidence showing that Casey Anthony may have been researching the chemical on the Internet, sources said. Chloroform has been depicted in movies and on television when a person uses a rag soaked in the liquid to cover the mouth and nose of another, making the victim lose consciousness. A person can die if too much of the chemical is inhaled. Chloroform also is the byproduct of contact between chorine used in swimming pools and skin, sweat or urine. Commercially, it is used in refrigeration. Anthony was charged Wednesday with two counts of uttering a forged check, two counts of petty theft and two counts of fraudulent use of personal identification. Investigators accuse Anthony of writing one check July 10 at an Orlando Target store for $155.47 and another check the same day at a Winter Park Target for $137.77. Last week, Anthony was arrested at her family’s Lee Vista-area home and charged with uttering a forged check, fraudulent use of personal identification information and petty theft related to one of the alleged stolen checks she wrote at an Orlando Target for $111.01. EquuSearch persists On Wednesday, about 65 volunteers with Texas EquuSearch continued to look for Caylee, and Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary pleaded with the public to help. "We need to try to find some closure on this case," he said. "That’s why EquuSearch is here." The sheriff pledged to give EquuSearch $5,000 to assist in the search, as well as use of the agency’s airboats. Beary said EquuSearch is a reputable operation with expert volunteers. "Regardless, whether she’s alive or passed away, we need to find Caylee," Beary said.

    Answer:
any evidence that law enforcement has right now, it making it look like Caylee could be dead. With no cooperation with Casey, that continue to do everything possible to find the child and more and more evidence is coming forth..not looking good for Casey

    Question:
please summerize voice your openion and tell me how it relates to socail studies and name 3 words you never heared of or knew the meaning of the winner get 10 points BEDFORD, Texas -- One of the first things you notice about Adrian Vasquez is the bulge beneath his shirt. It's a pacemaker, the size of a chocolate-covered Oreo cookie. Adrian is only 2 1/2 years old. Born with a double outlet on the right ventricle of his heart, Adrian has endured three open-heart surgeries and countless trips to the emergency room. His life has been fragile from the beginning. The day after Adrian was born, a hospital chaplain baptized him in the ICU. With a tube in his nose helping him breathe, Adrian's mother and father sprinkled holy water on his tiny head. He was so weak, they weren't allowed to hold him. Adrian's first surgery was three days later, when he was 5 days old. (Watch a boy with a broken heart ) Sitting in their home in suburban Dallas, Texas, Anthony and Matilda Vasquez recently talked about the night their son almost died. Adrian was 5 months old and had just undergone surgery. He had been in the hospital for about a week and seemed to be thriving. In the middle of the night, the young couple got a call. Adrian was crashing. They rushed to the hospital. Anthony Vasquez says Adrian was "gasping for air and turning blue." It took doctors a half-hour to stabilize him. "He pulled out of it," Vasquez says with fatherly pride. For a long time, Matilda Vasquez says, she went over in her head every aspect of her pregnancy, trying to figure out whether she did something to cause Adrian's heart problems. She says she didn't smoke, didn't drink, exercised and watched her diet. She says she didn't even want to take aspirin for fear it would hurt the baby. However, she was taking the antidepressant Paxil when she got pregnant. She says she asked her doctor about it and after checking the labeling, he said it was safe for her to keep taking it. But late last year, Anthony Vasquez heard something on television about Paxil, heart problems and babies. He checked the Internet and found a warning from the Food and Drug Administration. It said early results from two studies suggested women who took Paxil during the first three months of pregnancy were 1.5 to 2 times as likely to have a baby born with a heart defect as women who received other antidepressants or women who didn't take antidepressants. Paxil is made by Glaxo Smith-Kline. A company internal study released in 2005 and shared with the FDA found a 1.5 times increased risk for heart malformations for Paxil compared with other antidepressants. Normally, the risk of giving birth to a child with a heart defect is about 1 percent. At the urging of the FDA, Glaxo Smith-Kline changed Paxil's labeling in September 2005 to warn about the risks of birth defects. Adrian's parents were furious. They believe Glaxo Smith-Kline was aware of the drug's risk before he was born in April 2004 and didn't do enough to warn doctors or expectant mothers. In July, the family sued the company. Glaxo Smith Kline declined to comment on the lawsuit, but in a written statement said it has diligently monitored the safety of Paxil before and after its approval by the FDA in 1992. The American Medical Association estimates about 40,000 women take antidepressants while pregnant. Weaning a woman off an antidepressant while pregnant can be excruciating. Many doctors we spoke with say the pros often outweigh the cons. On Wednesday, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists Committee on Obstetric Practice recommended that the use of paroxetine, or Paxil, among pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant be avoided, if possible. The group also said that treatment with with all SSRIs or selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors or both during pregnancy be judged on a case by case basis. But Matilda Vasquez believes expectant mothers should have all the information so they can make the decision for themselves. She says had she known about the possibility of heart defects, she would have stopped taking Paxil. These days, Adrian spends a lot of time at the doctor's office. He is behind developmentally and communicates on the level of a 9-month-old. His big brother, Isaiah, often "translates" for his parents and grandparents. It breaks his father's heart to think that Adrian will never be able to do "boy things" like roughhousing or playing soccer. When it's not too hot, Adrian and his brother "drive" around the family's back yard in a child-sized electric truck. The boys smile and squeal as their dad follows. Matilda Vasquez smiles at her family, but there is also a longing in her eyes. "Adrian will never have a normal life," she says. "I just hope this lawsuit will just warn people and let them see what an innocent baby can go through."

    Answer:
They are all highly educated, very experienced, and knowledgeable. They also all believe that the Official 9/11 Commission's Report is not addressing too many legitimate questions to be considered a legitimate endeavor and that "WE the People" deserve better. Like the truth, but that just isn't going to happen unless our Congress puts the interests of the people before the interests of the large media lobbyists and the people who probably have a little "dirt" on each member and could hypothetically be holding it over their heads as a threat to remain complacent or else.

I am interested in getting a certification in A+ Network+ where do I go?
    Question:
I am interested in getting a certification in A+ Network+, including other professional IT titles. I am a novice in Information Technology, My Questions are: (1) which certification will be more honored( in sense of getting a job), one from Houston Community College, Houston, Texas, the CompTIA certification or some institute? Please help! (2)Which is the best certification board? (3)Which IT course area do you think I should concentrate in? Thanks. Anthony Paul

    Answer:
The A+ and CompTIA certifications are industry standards, so it usually does not matter which institution you get them from. Therefor, a community college is a fine place to study for these. IN these days of outsourcing it is best to concentrate on IT that you need to be present for, so that the job is less likely to be sent overseas. So, computer installation, maintenance and repair are good, and these are what the A+ and CompTIA are for.

Are immigrants moving out the usual states and into sundown towns where non-whites are not allowed?
    Question:
Copyright The Washington Post Company Feb 21, 2006 PUBLISHED CORRECTIONS: The photo of a "Whites Only" sign on Page One on Feb. 21 should have been credited to the Tubman African American Museum in Macon, Ga. (Published 2/24/2006) Anthony Griffin remembers the signs. How could he forget them? A black lawyer, he grew up in Baytown, Tex. Back in high school in the late '60s and early '70s, he would borrow his mom's car and drive around East Texas, exploring. He saw the signs in a couple of towns. "I was terrified," he says. "You're driving with your buddies and you say, 'Thank God, it's not dark. Let's get the hell out.' " George Brosi remembers the signs, too. Editor of Appalachian Heritage magazine, he recalls seeing one sign in southern Kentucky back in the 1990s when he was a college English teacher. "It was on Highway 461," he says. "It stayed up for about a year and then it mysteriously disappeared. It was probably five feet across and three feet tall. It was off the right-of-way, up on a hillside in an overgrown pasture." The signs are gone now but once they were a part of America's roadside culture, posted along the highway at the town or county line, a blunt reminder of brutal racism. "Most read 'N*****, Don't Let the Sun Set on You in -- ,' " says James Loewen, the Washington-based author of a controversial new book called "Sundown Towns." But sometimes, he adds, the sign makers tried to get clever. "Some came in a series, like the old Burma Shave signs, saying, ' . . . If You Can Read . . . You'd Better Run . . . If You Can't Read . . . You'd Better Run Anyway.' " Most of the signs were posted in the first half of the 20th century, Loewen says, but some lingered on long afterward. They were not a Southern phenomenon, he stresses. They were found all over the United States with local variations: In Colorado: "No Mexicans After Night." In Connecticut: "Whites Only Within City Limits After Dark." In Nevada, the ban was expanded to include those the sign- writers term "Japs." All told, Loewen says, he found evidence of more than 150 sundown signs in 31 states. But he wasn't researching the sundown signs. They were just symbols. He was researching sundown towns, which he defines as "towns that were all white on purpose." He found lots of them -- far more than he expected when he began his research in his home state of Illinois about five years ago. Copyright New York Amsterdam News Jun 14-Jun 20, 2007 In my mother's family, they tell stories of how my great-grandfather, William Rufus Fortney, was swindled out of his title to 50 acres of land in Albany, Georgia. When I was younger, I thought those stories were unique to our family, and possibly a few others. But in December 2001, the Associated Press released a series of reports entitled, "Torn from the Land." During their 18-month investigation, the AP documented the ways in which thousands of African-American families lost title to land throughout this country due to violence, fraudulent schemes and threats imposed by majority white populations. . Now, what were once stories passed down through generations of Black families are more frequently being documented in books-many of them by white authors. Last year, James W. Loewen published "Sundown Towns: A Hidden Dimension of American Racism," which dealt with the many towns across the country that won't allow non-whites to peacefully remain within their borders after sundown.

    Answer:
Does racism exist in America. Yes it does as it exists in every country in the world. Illegal immigration is not a civil rights issue, The pros tired and failed on that. It is not a racial issue 80 some % of americans are agaist illegal immigration. No one race in America holds that number. The bottom line is illegals broke the law and want anmesty. Congress tried it the people spoke out and it failed. Game Set Match. Illegals go home or be deported. There will be no amnesty.

I am looking for my deceased grandmothers parents name for my family tree!! help please?
    Question:
my grandmother patricia diane williams passed away between 1985-1987, she married willie lee scott around late 1950's. they had two sons timothy dean scott 02-06-1063, and mark anthony scott. im trying to figure out who patricia diane williams parents are and theyre names i cant find any where. they all lived in texas if that helps

    Answer:
Are you sure that your grandparents married at all? The reason why I ask is because I found a record from where they applied for a marriage license in Tarrant County on May 29, 1961, but the actual marriage was never recorded. The marriage application is recorded in Volume 127 Page 270. Also, I checked the divorce records available for Texas and was unable to locate a divorce record. That doesn't necessarily mean that it didn't happen, however, it does complicate the search a little. It might also explain why she died as Patricia Diane Williams. Do you know which cemetery in Cleburne she is interred in? Is it Cleburne Memorial Park or Rose Hill Cemetery? They are the two largest cemeteries in Cleburne. If you know the answers to any of these questions, it might help us help you more. Take care.
