What were the political reasons the Mexican subjects of Santa Anna in Texas revolted against him?
    Question:
Must have been pretty bad as one of his armies wiped out one force and what was left were still outnumbered 10 to 1. Although he got cocky and did split his forces and still outnumbered them 2.5 to 1 in the end battle. I did not know that, that is interesting, so a religious war. Like that gun. Gringo, stellar! Held out 50%, like fighting with one hand tied behind your back.

    Answer:
Mexico was a highly fractured and chaotic nation for much of its first century of independence, in no small part due to the machinations of men such as Santa Anna. In 1828 he used his military influence to lift the losing candidate into the presidency, being rewarded in turn with appointment as the highest-ranking general in the land. His reputation and influence were further strengthened by his critical role in defeating an 1829 Spanish effort to reconquer their former colony. In 1833 Santa Anna was overwhelmingly elected President of Mexico. Unfortunately, what began as a promise to unite the nation soon deteriorated into chaos. From 1833 to 1855 Mexico had no fewer than thirty-six changes in presidency; Santa Anna himself directly ruled eleven times. He soon became bored in his first presidency, leaving the real work to his vice-president, who soon launched an ambitious reform of church, state and army. In 1835, when the proposed reforms infuriated vested interests in the army and church, Santa Anna seized the opportunity to reassert his authority, and led a military coup against his own government. Santa Anna's repudiation of Mexico's 1824 constitution and substitution of a much more centralized and less democratic form of government was instrumental in sparking the Texas revolution, for it ultimately convinced both Anglo colonists and many Mexicans in Texas that they had nothing to gain by remaining under the Mexican government. When the revolution came in 1835, Santa Anna personally led the Mexican counter-attack, enforcing a "take-no-prisoners" policy at the Alamo and ordering the execution of those captured at Goliad. In the end, however, his over-confidence and tactical carelessness allowed Sam Houston to win a crushing victory at the battle of San Jacinto

Do you know anyone who lives in Anna, Texas? Is it a good town? Are the schools cool?
    Question:
    I need information!!!

    Answer:
As a native Texan I can honestly say I don't remember going through Anna. But you won't be far from Dallas so it can't be too bad. Texans are really cool people, I don't care what people say. And George Freaky Bush is NOT from here.

Santa Anna hoped that the fall of the alamo would convince texas what happened instead?
    Question:
Santa Anna hoped that the fall of the alamo would convince Texans that it was useless to resist his armies. What happened instead?

    Answer:
the men at the alamo were beseiged for several days. a u.s. army was gathering a few counties away (san jacinto), and instead of pursue this army, santa anna stayed at the alamo, exhausting his men. when santa anna eventually went to san jacinto, his efforts were useless and the mexican american war was ended by the treaty of gaudeloupe hidalgo.

What is the Anna Kournikova texas holdem hand?

    Answer:
The hand has also been attributed to KQo, despite the fact that it doesn't have the same initials, it certainly qualifies for the "never wins" part of the statement a lot better than AK does. If Ace-King never wins, then you're doing something wrong.

she had a crappy family life. her family was trailer trash who didnt really do anything for her. when she made it big, they said she abandoned them. they went on to do an interview for a documentary that she didnt want to do and told them not to do. All they said about her was negative/hurtful. she got out of that bad situation and they hated her for it. it has nothing to do with bush. she hated texas before bush 1 was even president.

Local towns people in Texas did not like Anna Nicole. Why would Vergie want her buried there?
    Question:
An article on Fox News states Anna's mother may be taking legal action to have Anna's body removed from the Bahaman’s. The day of Anna's death the local towns people where Anna grew up in Texas were interviewed and many said they were ashamed of Anna and didn't like the negative attention she brought to the town. These towns’ people did not have very nice things to say about Anna the day of her death! How could Anna be at peace being buried in Texas when the local people had negative things to say about her the day she passed away?

    Answer:
Well its not up to the towns people, they aren't have family who are they to say who can't be buried where; however, I do feel that if Anna wanted to be buried in the Bahamas next to her son then so be it. Virigie is a distraught mother, what else can she do. What would you do, if you haven't had contact with your daugther in years? Anna left the nest to make money whehter or not people liked how she received it it's relevent she was successful to an extent. We all make uncertain decisions and can be held accountable for them after all is said and done I'm sure Anna did what at that time she thought was best toward her progression. God Bless her, it is so tragic what come of her death and her assets along with the new baby. the towns people have no say so, they have nothing to do with what image she portrayed herself as unfortunately they just were neighbors.

Should the judge grant Anna Nicole's "mother" the right to bury Anna in Texas "with the rest of her family"?
    Question:
I say NO NO NO it is SOOOO obvious that Anna Nicole was not wanted in life by her biological "family" early on and she was ESTRANGED from all of them INCLUDING her "mother" FOR YEARS and it was also so obvious the LOVE Anna had for Daniel her late son. Anna would MORE THAN ANYTHING want to be buried with Daniel and that her "mother" should back OFF she has NO RIGHT to even have her argument HEARD and everyone should respectfully SHUT THE HELL UP and Anna should be RESPECTFULLY laid to rest with her son Daniel This is the most vulgar display I have ever seen of disrespect and vulturism of the dead

    Answer:
remember this when you put off making out your own will.

How can Anna Nicole's mother be so heartless as to want to have her buried in Texas and hold up the funeral?
    Question:
Virgie Arthur, does not seem , to care that her daughter's wishes were to be buried with her son. Also Anna's body is rapidly decomposing and her mother STILL wants things her way! I think this is her way of getting even with Anna Nicole for the disparaging remarks she made about her on ET. Bring it on Mommy Dearest! The truth must hurt!

    Answer:
I agree with Rosemarie. Ms. Arthur can't face her daughter's death so much that she feels that she must get even. This may not be the total and complete cause, but it is a good thought. I'm with you and Rose. She's really heartless and thoughtless, she should think about her wrongful decision and draw a conclusion soon. Anna Nicole's body is rapidly decomposing and her simple wishes were indeed to be buried next to the now-dead, Daniel Smith. It's an easy wish that deserves to be carried out. How hard is it? Anna Nicole never wanted to be buried in her native Texas family plot, she'd never even reached good terms with Texas, she had no intention of being buried there! All I think is she should be buried next to her son, and may she rest in peace, is all.

Why not bury both Anna Nicole & Danny in Texas with their family?
    Question:
Vergie's lawyer says that is the plans of Anna's parents and honestly it makes sense. First off Anna did not buy the graves in the Bahamaas, Howie did. Howie is not the father for if he was there would have been DNA testing. Howie kept Anna on drugs and probably killed off mother & child. Why let a man who admits he was not an exclusive lover with Anna (I doubt he ever had sex with her) have control of the bodies? He was the man who kept Anna away from her family and Anna did love her family as the letters proved in court, yesterday.

Do you think Anna Nicoles Mother should be allowed to bury her daughter in Texas?

    Answer:
Should Anna be buried next to her only son. My answer is no. What we should learn is to always have an updated will. Take care of ourselves for our children needs us. There is a baby that will never know her mother because she didn't know how to take care of herself.

where do you think Anna Nicole should be buried.in Texas or by her son?
    Question:
    i think by her son.

    Answer:
by her son ofcourse. her mother can go jump in the lake.

The song " Yellow Rose of Texas " Who was the Yellow Rose of Texas? & was she with Santa Anna when captured

    Answer:
She was Santa Ana's mistress and a spy for the Texas revolutionaries. She was part black, hence , the "yellow" rose. Santa Ana was defeated at San Jacinto. He dressed in her clothes and tried to sneak off but was captured, so , no, she was not with him.

What is up with Anna Nicole Smiths mother?
    Question:
Anna’s mother never wanted anything to do w/ her....said she embarrassed her family and the town she came from...Now that Anna has passed she wants her body to be buried in Texas. (Anna's wishes according to her partner Howard,, was to be buried next to her son in the Bahamas).....I think her mother is seeing dollar signs especially over her grand daughter.....I just hope Anna can rest in peace and her baby grows up w/ the father when this is all over...good luck to them all.....Anna’s mother and the judge who wants to keep Anna’s body froze should all be kicked in the A##.....they have the dna samples...let her rest in peae now....

    Answer:
I agree with you totally on this. I think that Anna's wishes should be followed. And it makes perfect sense that Anna be buried by her son---in the Bahama's. I also think that the mother is only after the inheritance that the baby will get and that is so wrong. If you didn't want anything to do with Anna then let the baby be with Howard (that is what Anna wanted) and let Anna rest in peace.

Anna Nicoles mother and her 1st husband, want her and her son dug up and moved to graves in texas, but they...
    Question:
wont allow this to be done. Why is Howard Stern doing everything he can to stop this, Is it because they will find empty caskets if this is done?

    Answer:
No. It's because Anna Nicole's son loved the Bahamas and wanted to be buried there and Anna Nicole wanted to be buried with him. Anna's first husband was an abusive fuck much like my first husband and has no say in where his kid gets buried and Anna Nicole's mother wanted nothing to do with her before a very rich infant was involved.

How did Santa Anna become a mexican hero?
    Question:
texas history. has something to do with the revolution. -.-

    Answer:
He is not a hero... he is considered a treasonous.

If you saw the courtroom drama in the courtroom on Anna Nicole Smith yesterday what do you think of outcome?
    Question:
Do You think she should be buried with son in Bahamas or Texas, or other?

    Answer:
I believe if she had wanted to be buried in Texas she would have buried her son in Texas. I wonder if she bought more than one plot when she purchased Daniel's. Seems I remember hearing something about that but I don't remember. When someone buries a love one I think their full intent is to be buried next to them. Anyway, regardless lets get the poor girl buried.
