My family is moving to tennessee(close to nashville).Thinking columbia/franklin. Decent areas? Question: My husband got a job in Nashville. We were thinking about finding a house close by. Does anyone know the best areas for homes 100,000 or less? We can afford more but want to save money and not get in over our heads since we would be moving from indiana. We have a 175,000 home here but I believe the cost of living is quite a bit higher here and we pay 700 a month for just gas and electric. I want to lower our cost but I don't want to sacrifice safety or a good education. We have 4 young children. Any advice would be appreciated. The town would have to be within an hour of nashville(Burton hills area). Thanks
Answer:
yes Franklin is fine Columbia is a good town just a little far from Burton Hills for my taste but there are also good areas of Nashville as well

What river was the "border" between the Union and the Confederacy during the Civil War? Question: Ohio River, Colorado River, Mississppi River, Missouri River, Columbia River, Tennessee River, Hudson River, Snake River, Rio Grande River
Answer:
The Ohio River.
The Compromise established a boundary between the slave states of the south and the free states of the north... This boundary became referred to as the Mason-Dixon line because it began in the east along the Mason-Dixon line and headed westward to the Ohio River and along the Ohio to its mouth at the Mississippi River and then west along 36° 30' North.

Can someone help me with the importance of each battle/battle site in the Civil War, November 1864.? Question: The battles needed are Johnsonville Tennessee, Bull's Gap Tennessee,Columbia Tennessee,Spring Hill Tennessee,Franklin Tennessee,Griswoldville Georgia,Buck Head Creek Georgia,Honey Hill South Carolina. All I need to know is why were these battles important. Thanks
Answer:
This is really hard to answer here, you might want to do a search of each battle and compare them to see what you come up with on your own, but I'll give it a try.
All of the battles listed that were fought in Tennessee was part of Hood's campaign to retake Middle Tennessee and possibly even Kentucky. This took place after Sherman had taken the city of Atlanta and Hood was basically trying to draw Union forces out of Atlanta and force them to chase his army north into Tennessee, cutting Sherman's army in half. This tactic was successful in doing this but Hood's Army of Tennessee was soundly defeated at Franklin, and a few days later at Nashville, TN.. These defeats essentially destroyed Hood's confederate army.
The battles listed that took place in Georgia and South Carolina were part of Sherman's Campaign for Savannah and the Carolinas. I suppose you could say that many of these battles would not have happened if Hood had not been successful in drawing Schofield's Corps out of Atlanta to defend Nashville because it took almost 20,000 men away from Sherman for his march to the sea. The Confederate forces in Southeast Georgia and South Carolina, at this point in the war, were very poorly equipt and in no shape to fight such a large federal force, so they would most likely have just retreated and tried to join forces for a better defence of the region. But since Sherman's Army was quite a bit smaller than anticipated due to the loss of Schofield's Corps and because they were so spread out across the entire area, the smaller Confederate units felt that they could effectively slow Sherman's Advance by taking a stand and attacking when possible.
I would say that the main importance of these battles is that they marked the begining of the end for Confederate forces in the Western Theater and the Deep South. Hood's Confederate Army of Tennessee was destroyed. Gen. Joe Johnston's Army of the South was retreating into North Carolina. The Confederacy had been cut in half by Sherman's March to the Sea. The South's most important cities of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, and Columbia had been captured by Federal forces. Lincoln had been reelected as President of The United States so all hopes for a negotiated peace were gone. The morale of the average Confederate Soldier was crushed by defeats and lack of supplies. The Confederacy was basically finished.
Hope this helps you out.

I'm looking for a Christian tatoo artist in middle Tennessee.? Question: Shelbyville, Columbia, Franklin area
Answer:
Good luck.
Just a little conflict there. Christian.....receiving a mark....and it kinda falls under the graven image thingy.
I advise finding a nice clean tattoo shop, and see if they can work with your own design.
Might want to look up "sepsis" also.........lost a relative to that some time ago.......shortly after getting her 7th tattoo.
Also.....if you're not hard core into the traditional tattoos....or even have a shadow of a doubt that you might keep it forever and ever.........they have new inks out that are very brilliant.....and very easy, should one decide, to have it removed with laser.
Happy hunting.....sorry I couldnt produce a name for you.

Should I be taking Moonshine from men from Tennessee who offer it? Question: Or Marajuana from women from Columbia?
Answer:
While Columbia, MO certainly has a fine reputation for cannabis, the simple fact is that the best cannabis east of the Mississippi is to be found in Kentucky and Tennessee. And, unlike moonshine, which, like any form of alcohol, is both highly addictive and highly toxic to consumers, cannabis is a relatively benign herb with no risk of either addiction or toxicity. It is a great healing herb.
Get yourself to a country that actually practices freedom, rather than just preaching it to others: there are many countries where one can legally enjoy the great blessing that is cannabis.

Calling all Tennessee Titans fans!? Question: Does anyone know why the Titans are wearing their navy jersey on the road and their white jersey at home this year? Also, how do you know when they will wear their alternate columbia blue jersey? It confuses me, I never know before game day which jersey they will be wearing.
Answer:
Lots of teams are wearing white at home this season, especially in the south.
The home team gets to choose which jersey they wear for a game and the visitor is required to comply with that decision. At the beginning of the season, it had to do with heat, as the lighter jerseys absorb less heat and thus keep the players cooler. When it was close to 100 degrees heat index, it made sense - now not so much. All that matters is that the team is winning. As long as they win, I wouldn't care if they wore pink jerseys.

Is it about time this came out? Some Jehovah's Witnesses want more than to leave Watchtowers ? Question: Towns where Alleged Jehovah's Witness Child molesters have been reported to silentlambs
Home
Listed by each state
If you would to add a new listing contact silentlambs at info@silentlambs.org
The list below is designed to alert you to a possible danger in your community. Over the course of the last four years silentlambs has been a repository of reports on alleged Jehovah's Witness child molesters. Victims have reported extensively on times, dates and places abuse occurred. We have wrestled with how to alert the public as well as members that may be in congregations where abusers have been reported.
We offer the following suggestions if you as a Jehovah's Witness are in a town/congregation where a report has been made.
Do not allow your children to be alone with anyone in the congregation.
Escort your children to the bathroom during meetings and make sure no else is with them when using facilities.
Never allow your children to be alone in the car with anyone while in field service.
Do not allow any member to study with your child alone.
Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults.
Avoid baby sitters that are adult males.
At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times.
Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts.
Check the local sex offender list in your area, type in the name of every person in your congregation to see if any are listed.
Notice any male member of the congregation that does not have privileges such as microphone or other duties around the congregation, especially if for a long period of time. They can offer talks on the TMS or sermons Service Meeting but are not allowed to conduct meetings. (This is only in case of a confessed child molester)
Note any member of the congregation that has children with sever rebellion or emotional problems.
Do not allow your children to have sleepovers with anyone.
Note members that the elders avoid having around their children.
If you are a member of the public and your community is on the list take the following steps to protect your family.
If Jehovah's Witnesses call at your home never allow them in your home
If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call at your home purchase a no trespassing sign and place it near your door. JW's are instructing to only respect "no trespassing" signs any other variation will be ignored.
If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call you can also call the local number and ask to be placed on the "do not call" list. They will note your home and check about once a year to make sure you wish to remain on the list.
If you choose to study with Jehovah's Witnesses do so at a neutral location such as the local Kingdom Hall or in a public place.
Never allow your child to be alone with members or their children.
If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members.
Remember that most members are not aware of who the molesters are in their congregation according to church policy. They do not know.
If two Jehovah's Witnesses call at your door one could be a child molester. According to church guidelines all confessed child molesters are required to have a partner when going door to door. If two Jehovah's Witnesses appear at your door you might wish to ask if one or both are child molesters for peace of mind. Of course keep in mind if the person is an accused child molester they are allowed to work alone in the door to door work.
We hope this information is helpful and assists with the ultimate goal of silentlambs, protecting children. Check back as the list is updated on a regular basis.

I think 8-4.
Losing a close game to Georgia and Clemson.
Also dropping to two of the three: Tennessee, Florida, LSU.
Answer:
Call me crazy or even a dreamer, but I think they will finish...
9-3.
The Gamecocks almost always lose a game they shouldn't
lose.
Also, Spurrier always win a big rivalry game.
With that said, they always play Georgia good at home and this is the year they will beat them...I also think they will beat Tennessee at home as well as take the one from the Gators at their house. I think they will drop the Mississippi, LSU, and Clemson game.
Will play LSU for the SEC title and lose.
