Where does one evacuate to if they live near Clarksville Tennessee if the Dam at Frankfort on the Cumberland? Question: River breaks? The news says to be prepared to evacuate!
Remember elevation is the key here. Looking at Googleearth, the elevation around that point is relatively flat.
Answer:
Water seeks its own level. So if you are on flat land you are at ground zero. The authorities are not responsible for your evacuation...only to alert you. Civil Defense should provide knowlege of where there are safe shelters. The lesson learned from Katrinia is...don't depend on anyone. Take charge of your life now. Ask questions if need be but depend on yourself and make your own decisions based on the current knowledge of the situation.

if u live in clarksville tennessee, i need your help? Question: a floppy eared bunny from someone who lives in Clarksville Tennessee i'm looking for some under $5 maybe even free-i would like to give my friend one for her birthday. does anybody know anything that can help me
Answer:
well, I live in Hendersonville and the only thing I can recommend is checking the SUnday paper under "Pets- other". Sometimes people are selling or giving away bunnies. OR try Craigslist. NOW THEN...... please make extra sure that your friend's parents will allow her to have a bunny!!! Do you realize that the inexpensive bunny is the least of the expense? They need a LARGE cage, litter, food bowls and food, water bottle, fresh fruits and veggies. Pets are not the greatest gift unless you kow for sure that the family is willing to deal with the hours of care and the not insignificant expense.

have there been any bigfoot sightings in Clarksville, Tennessee? Question: i need replies. I was hunting with my winchester in some heavy brush when I heard these loud deep calls from over a hill I crept to the top of the hill when this doe jumped out. Iwas fixen to shoot it when this large, hairy, humanoid figure came speed walkin by. It was roughly 7 feet tall. I tried to see what it was with my scope but it ran out of sight
Answer:
A few have been sighted in Gleason, TN. Although, they aren't on the list of legal game animals for TN, so even if they were real, you probably shouldn't shoot one :-)

Why did you pick clarksville? I lived in Nashville for 3 years and that was fun. Lot's more culture than you would think for a small city. Obviously lots of music in the area, not just country, but a decent art scene.

What is the average age of medical interns? Question: After High School, how many years of schooling do they need, and how old would they be, on average, when they begin their internship at a local hospital? (If that's any different than being an intern at a big hospital. Let's say it's a medical intern in a small town like Clarksville, Tennessee, instead of Nashville, Tennessee.)

Economy and cost of living better off in a big city or a small city? Question: I was living in Clarksville, TN around the military base at Ft. Cambpell, after I got out of the Army. I was getting paid at $5.75 an hour, and then I went to live in another city a little bigger and was getting paid $9.70 an hour. The apartment prices and costs of products were actually about the same. Now, I met a friend who lives in a even bigger city than the city I lived in. I noticed that the costs of living is the same. The pay rate raises even higher though. It seems to me the bigger the city you live in the easier it is to make it. I always thought this was the opposite. What do you think? Anyone ever lived in a small city then to bigger city and notice the change or from bigger city to a much small city. Like example, Clarksville, Tennessee to Chicago, Illinois or Jackson, Mississippi to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A huge difference of city location and way of life?
Answer:
The cost of living generally increases with city size because the available land within commuting distance to city center is in more demand and housing cost more. If you live far out you can get cheaper housing but you must add commuting cost, so it is still more expensive. The extreme example is New York where the cost of living is double the national average. For the salary level and cost of living to US cities see

I live in Kentucky and want to leave! Tennessee is really nice. Should I move there, and if so, where? Question: Should I do Memphis (my personal favorite city in TN,) Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Clarksville, Tri-Cities, or one of the more rural areas? I love Tennessee, it is much friendlier than Kentucky; it also has a higher quality of life, a lower cost of living, lower taxes, and a warmer climate.
Answer:
I would say it all depends on the type of career you have or whether you will work at anything. Nashville has a lot to offer they are asking for help all over and I live in a small part called Antioch, Tn. There is Dell computer not far from here about 5 miles and there are all kinds of warehouse's stores and fast food places. They are building all kinds of new sub divisions all over Nashville and the surrounding towns.I think it is a great place to live, I am a transplant of 35 years ago from Louisville behind the old fair grounds off Phillips Lane before the Airport bought everything out.
