Does anyone know about American Relief Association? or South Dakota Indian Relief?
    Question:
ARA or American Relief Association is a non-profit org. they say they're helping native Americans around the state. They hired agents (homebased job) here in Philippines to call people for donations (solicit), you can still see their job posting history at Bestjobs.com.Ph. After working for few months or less, they will stop sending the salary to their agents. they provided the program (called the VCC-virtual call center) to call people in the state with the help of their technician "Levent"/Brandon Moore. The treasurer/payroll Hulya Coban sends the salary to the Filipino agents trough money transfer. Now, the supervisor (Derya Akcinar) says she has her own organization and the name is "South Dakota Indian Relief". I worked with them for 6mos and i didn't get my last salary after I quit last June, other agents didn't get their's for 2mos. They are still hiring, probably now in your country. Be careful.

    Answer:
From the Better Business Bureau website (http://charityreports.bbb.org/public/Report.aspx?CharityID=3868) : BBB Wise Giving Alliance Comment (Nondisclosure) ------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------- Despite written BBB Wise Giving Alliance requests in the past year, this organization either has not responded to Alliance requests for information or has declined to be evaluated in relation to the Alliance’s Standards for Charity Accountability. While participation in the Alliance’s charity review efforts is voluntary, the Alliance believes that failure to participate may demonstrate a lack of commitment to transparency. Without the requested information, the Alliance cannot determine if this charity adheres to the Standards for Charity Accountability. A charity's willing disclosure of information beyond that typically included in its financial statements and government filings is, in the Alliance's view, an expression of openness that strengthens public trust in the charitable sector. The BBB Wise Giving Alliance reports on national charities and determines if they meet 20 voluntary standards on matters such as charity finances, appeals, and governance. The Alliance does not evaluate the worthiness of the charitable program. BOTTOM LINE: THOUGH THIS ORG HAS ITS OWN WEBSITES: - www.americanreliefassociation.com - www.ushumane.com THE QUESTION: WHY DID THIS ORG NEVER COMPLIED TO THE LAW?
