This is a supercell we chased. This video clip was shot in Alpena, SD. Robert Brown in the background is heard telling a car to go back because the storms rotation was getting tight and wanted to drop a tornado just before the sirens went off. I'm still editing more of the video and adding video from the live feed so stay tuned for more. This was a beautiful storm that produced hail up to 3" and mutiple funnels and Tornados
This cell developed and we high tailed to get to it. Though it was tornado warned the whole day there was no reall confermation of a tornado till a few hours later. towards the end of my clip you will see the funnel 3/4 of the way down. Later on that funnel was confirmed as a touch down. Technically a funnel that is 3/4 down is considered a tornado. This was near mitchel SD just north and east of the city. the funny thing is, s that we sat in mitchel that day for a couple of hours waiting for things to happen and decided to finaly head north. it developed north and headed southeast
