Questions Possibly Related to Coward, South CarolinaProvided By Y! Answers
Should South Carolina governor Mark Sanford resign his commission? Question: It really sickens me when I have a Governor that will not even go overseas to fight for his country though he has a officers commission in the United States Air Force and has been promoted many times. Eventhough he has no training or proof he was deserving to go from Lieutenant to Captain. And he has "zilch" combat training or experience. I know Girl and Boyscouts that have more field training than Governor Sanford!!! What "burns-me-up" the most is that a young Prince from Britain,Prince Harry wants to fight overseas and has but has many times been called back to The Palace by his commander or just been refused to go on missions in middleeast war-zones because he would be at too much risk and this would put his men at risk. But he continues to try to serve his country and has even been decorated for his service and bravery. So now shouldn't Governor Mark Sanford give up his military office and rank and just be a Governor because he's too much of a coward!!!
Answer:
I think he should. Why join a unit and less than two years be in a position to leave? People in public office who were in the military at time office usually join the inactive ready reserves after a substantial career in the military. Two years is nothing. I am 25 I have already done seven and that isn't much to me yet.
