    City Description

Clover is a town in York County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 4,014 at the 2000 census. Clover is twinned with the Northern Irish town of Larne, located on the East Coast of County Antrim. Clover was founded in the late 19th century, in the vicinity of an earlier settlement called New Centre that had waned at the time of the Civil War. The village of Clover began as a railway stop midway between York, South Carolina, and Gastonia, North Carolina. According to lore, the overflow of water from the railway's water tank fertilized a patch of clover, and the stop was called "the clover patch." The town of Clover was incorporated in 1887, and it later became the home of several cotton mills, many of which operated until after World War II. Clover is located at 35°6′44″N, 81°13′37″W (35.112194, -81.226848). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.8 square miles (7.3 km²), of which, 2.8 square miles (7.3 km²) of it is land and 0.36% is water. U.S. Highway 321 comprises Clover's Main Street, which runs roughly north and south, and the town square lies at its intersection with state highway 55. As of the census of 2000, there were

does anyone know of a mortgage broker in South Carolina?
    Question:
I live in Clover, SC. This is 15 minutes outside of Charlotte, NC. I am trying to get land/home deal and need assistance.

    Answer:
You don't necessarily need a local Mortgage Broker, although at times it is more personal. I would suggest asking friends, family, or business associates if they have anyone they can recommend. I have access to hundreds of lenders and programs, and can write loans in all 50 states, just as many other brokers do; but, the point is to find someone you can trust and that will work for your best interests.

Is there a MLS website for South Carolina real estate?
    Question:
For the Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Clover, Lake Wylie area....

    Answer:
Hi fairytale, Yes, there is a MLS for the area you specified, but unless you are a licensed real estate agent you will not have access to it. The MLS system is the only way realtors search for houses and they dont let the public have access. In some places you can become an associate and gain access that way but not many places allow that - check local RE board, they should be able to answer that question. If that sounds like to much trouble (I think it is) you could just use the old standby realtor.com. Most agents put there listings on it because it is the biggest and most widely recognized RE search engine (that and the fact that they have NO imagination...smiles) Good luck
