If Bill Clinton wasn't popular with Black America would he be considered a racist for what he did to destroy Baracks campaign and make him out to be the " Black Canidate" .

What percentage of the black vote did Clinton get in South Carolina? Question: I've heard people say blacks abandoned Clinton after Bill compared Obama's SC victory to Jesse Jackson's, so did Clinton do well with blacks before he said that?
Answer:
It's true. Clinton did have a good bit of the black support before their comments in SC. It was more than just Bill's comparison to Jesse Jackson. Before Iowa, I heard MANY...no...MOST blacks say that they weren't going to vote for him because a black man can't win the nomination. What happened in Iowa showed many blacks that even though they may deal with racism in their local towns and/or cities, other parts of America are beyond race. I live in Alabama, if you look at cnn.com and go to the state maps, you'll see an obvious divide. The part of Alabama that I would not want to stop for gas voted heavily for Clinton.

To black voters. What do you think of Bill Clinton's strategy to divide black voters in South Carolina? Question: Tim Russert of meet the press said that Bill Clinton's job this week is to create division in the black community. If the black community is sufficiently divided Obama is guaranteed to lose South Carolina. Nothing can be said of white SC voters as they support the white candidate. Black people what do you think about this divid and conquer strategy?
Answer:
I think the Democractic Nomination is a long way from the General Election and burning bridges can lead to a "Blackout" if the Democratic Party is not careful.
A party cant win without all of its base.

Why does Clinton lead Obama in the AOL Straw Poll for S. Carolina when other polls show the reverse? Question: The AOL straw poll for the presidential election shows Obama leading in Illinois and Iowa but trailing Clinton in South Carolina by a big margin. Can anyone explain this?
Answer:
A straw poll is something different than a poll conducted by a pollster.
In a straw poll, the participants self-select themselves. In addition, a straw poll only reports raw numbers. As such, an on-line straw poll only reflects those who have computers and participate in the poll -- a skewed demographic. However, normally the skew tends away from the center which should cause some pause if Clinton is doing well. However, it is possible for a candidate's supporters to raid an on-line straw poll.
In a poll conducted by a pollster, the participants are randomly selected. In addition, the pollsters accounts for the demographics of the participans and reweighs the responses to match the demographics of the group being polled. In South Carolina, for voters intending to vote in the Democratic Primary, you would expect about half of the respondents to be white and the other half African-American with slightly more females than males. In other words, the people answering your questions should be approximately 25% white males, 25% white females, 25% African-American males, and 25% African-American females. If you got the right racial split, but 75% female and 25% male, you would multiply your female answers by 2/3 and double your male answers to get the right proportions.
This method of random selection and adjusting the weights to match the participants to the target demographic guarantees accuracy within 3-5% in the overwhelming majority of cases. Of course, as New Hampshire, there are times when the numbers are wrong. The biggest flaw is when the target demographic is off. If you are expecting women to be 51% of the vote, and they end up being 57%, your poll is going to be less than accurate.
In short, on-line straw polls are completely meaningless, but entertaining. There is no reason to expect them to be accurate. Polls conducted by reputable pollsters have some meaning and are accurate to a degree (as long as you understand their limitations -- e.g. polls conducted between Saturday and Monday will not include any changes in response to last night's debate or anything that may happen between now and the vote on this upcoming Saturday).

Why was Bill Clinton accused of being a racist after the South Carolina vote for saying? Question: that Obama would not have won South Carolia if not for the overwhelming black vote then saying Jackson won South Carolina also and then saying the "fairy tale" comment? He is just another Hillary supporter just as Wright is an Obama supporter, but Wright is being defended for his right of free speech and what he said was true?
stitch - Wright is an open racist.
olivia p. - Was that Hillary or Bill standing at that pulpit spouting these racist remarks?
Answer:
Didn't you get the memo? You cannot criticize a black person or it's racist. Feel free to criticize whites, as they are the source of all evil.

Why did Bill Clinton make racist comments about the South Carolina primary (election) and never apologize? Question: Is he a closet racist? Actually his comments were elitist and naricisitic . Bill Clinton and South Carolina? Question: Does anyone have any proof of what he said in SC? News story/ video clip? I find his quote about Rev. Jackson too hard to believe.
Answer:
That small clip, taken out of context, was an absolute joke. The first example of Obama throwing down the race card and hiding behind it, and after everything the Clintons did to advance African-American causes. The next one was even better...when they slammed Hillary for giving LBJ credit for signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as if she was disrespecting Dr. King. Over and over he's played the race card and the vast majority of African-American politicians followed suit for fear of losing their jobs. If that's not racism I don't know what is. Bill Clinton never said anything racist. They just spun it for political gain. Racist cowards. Sickening.

Did you know that Obama and Clinton got the same percentage of the white male vote in South Carolina? Question: So much for the idea that whites don't vote for Obama.
He is the unifier - of the party and eventually of the country.
Answer:
Yeah, I think Obama is great, and right now, the odds on favorite to be President.
And In all likelihood, he's going to Improve this country, maybe even fix the damage George W. Bush has caused.
But I'm not sure I like calling him a Unifier. It sounds kind of GWBushy to me.
I'm just going to call him the guy in charge.

Bill Clinton vs. South Carolina? Question: Today we heard Senator Obama give us a choice...so to speak. That is, he stated, "We have a choice in this country . . .," Obama said. "We can tackle race only as spectacle as we did in the OJ trial – or in the wake of tragedy. We can play Rev. Wright’s sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she’s playing the race card . . .Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, “Not this time."
He tells us to move on and basically forget what the Rev. said. However, we have not yet heard the end of the Clinton remarks in S.C. Is Obama practicing what he has preached to us today? What is YOUR opinion of Obama's speech today?
Thank you for your adult replies.
Answer:
We can move on, and I believe most of us want to. The issues of the election are huge. But, the Clintons will take this as our weakness and will find to put this in the media day after day with something small and insignificant that will blow up again and again. I am going to ignore the Clintons, won't go for their apologies and comments, and won't pay attention to a thing they have to say from this point out. And, I am banking on Obama to turn down any form of DEBATE with Clinton ever again in this campaign for the presidency.

South Carolina went wrong for the Hillary, will Bill Clinton step up his "ATTACK DOG" tactics on Barack Obama? Question: With Barack Obama doing so well in South Carolina, will Bill Clinton throw caution to the wind in defense of Hillary and start slinging a lot more "MUD" at the Obama's, only this time focusing on Barack's wife to belittle her, as he did with Barack on the campaign trail leading up to South Carolina or will he suddenly get his religion back like he did after the Monica Lewinsky affair, along with telling lies under oath and cool his heels until the heats off him once again! How do you feel he will act after this?
Answer:
be very careful w/ bill and hillary they know how .go to search and type dixie mafia ,read ,obama better be careful .bill know how ....

Why is support for Hillary going down and support for Edwards going up in South Carolina? Question: Do you think Hillary losing the debate helped Edwards gain votes in South Carolina while Clinton is losing?
Edwards’s numbers are up by 7 points among blacks and whites. Clintons numbers are down by 9 points.
Some white votes have Left Hillary Clinton and SOME black votes have come to Edwards.
Edwards could surpass her among whites and blacks in SC.
I guess the Clinton’s have to STOP race-baiting now and saying blacks are only voting because of race.
Answer:
Her support is going down because she is so bigoted and wretched to call Obama a slumlord in the last debate. She has SERIOUS entitlement issues because she thinks she is owed the presidency simply because her husband was president before. Down with the queen!

Obama is receiving just 10 percent of the "White Votes" in South Carolina, has Bill Clinton scared them away! Question: Bill Clinton has been pointing out Barack Obama is a Black Man that may want to have only Black people working in the White house should he get elected president! Did this nonsense scare enough White Voters to vote for Hillary Clinton or Jonathan Edwards? Baracks support among White people like those in Iowa that supported his win....are nearly all gone! In South Carolina very few voters of the White Race will vote for Barack and the change has come since Bill Clinton has been scaring White Voters he is just another Malcolm X, a rebel-rousing Black Ingrate and a Black Panther Party member at heart and possibly a dangerous Muslim, who will allow them to attack America! Is this fair to Obama...when it is not true?
The Democrats might as well give Bill and Hillary the nomination now....Bill Clinton has doomed Barack Obama and Jonathan Edwards has been rendered an attorney who leeches off other people tragedies...that leaves only the Clinton's fit to be the voters only choice within the nominee's that amounts to anything good! Bill Clinton said, I can spot a liar a mile away....and Barack Obama and his wife are ghetto liars!
The Democratic race is over.....now they are just going through the motions! Bill Clinton will have a Third-Term in the Oval Office...he campaigned for another term and his experience trashed his opponents under an onslaught of deception, lies and deceit! The Clinton's have done it again...they have proved nice guys finish last! In the case Edwards and Obama!
Answer:
Why trust a Former President who lie about having sex. Why would you want him back in power or his race baiting wife. I was so proud of the Democratic Party because they actually produced a variety of candidates. Yet now, its turn ugly and un-American. I wish Bill Clinton would shut his mouth. Rather any one supports Obama or not; Clinton's mouth is beneath the office of President.
|
Can Bill Clinton work his magic in South Carolina?
Answer:
To the 3 people who answered above...okay, but to assume the black vote will automatically go to the black candidate assumes a level of stupidity among African Americans in SC. Some will vote for the black guy out of duty (just like some women will vote for Hillary), but I would like to hope that the majority of my fellow citizens will judge a candidate on the issues and not superficial reasons.
Vote based on the issues, not the individual.
