Who is going to be the better team this year: Clemson, South Carolina or Army? Question: And then please tell me why?
Answer:
Jss. I think that of the three teams you listed Clemson should be the best of the bunch.
One they return a solid backfield, and recruited one more.
Two although he is un-proven Will Proctor is ready to lead.
Three they do not have to Play Miami this year.
Last but not least I still think they are better than FSU.

How about Clemson University in South Carolina? Question: I received an excellent opportunity to study there and I want to get familiar with its credentials. Could you please tell me more about it?
Something like, how's the weather there, how good it is at teaching, where I can look up more about, tuition, chances, technology it has, campus, if sometime it happened a murder there... whatever you know and I should know, I'll thank you very much.
PSD. Forgive me if I wrote something wrong.
Answer:
I live near clemson and can tell you that it is great university. There was a murder that but the girl lived off campus and her murderer was caught. They have excellent facilities and it is one of the hardest colleges to get into. The school is well known for being a football school. The weather varies by the week. Today it was about 89 degrees. The good thing is that you are so far inland that there is no worries about hurricanes. The winter here is cold but you hardly have snow. Check out the university website.

I have been issued I 20 by Clemson University,South Carolina,USA.Please go into details of question.? Question: I belong to India.I have been accepted at Clemson University,South Carolina,USA into MS- Food Science & Nutrition Programme for 18 months duration from August 2007.In acceptance email by Professor of this programme to me he has suggested me to contact faculty mentors to be my mentor.Out of 14 mentors I contacted four have expressed their inability on the grounds of lack of funds & non availability space for more students.Remaining ten have not responded at all uptill now.Considering this fact will it be prudent on my part to join Clemson University? If I join what can be further course & scenerio for me.I am confused & in dilemma. Please help by providing guidance.Thanks.Chaitali Purohit,Surat,India
Answer:
I am really confused about your situation, but I graduated from the University of South Carolina and would be glad to help. I don't really understand what the issue is but if you are trying to choose between the two schools I would definitely go with USC. USC is bigger and has far more opportunities than Clemson, particularly for students outside of the U.S. I have done a little work with the foreign students department here and I believe it to be both extensive and helpful for those wishing to study in America. Good Luck!

Which college should i pick? Clemson v. South Carolina v. College of Charleston? Question: i am a junior in high school in SC and have SAT scores around 1300 and an ACT score of 31. My GPA is about 4.3.
i have visited Clemson and USC and like USC better but i know clemson is probably a more respectable degree. im interested in charleston too though.
Is there a significant difference in the degrees between the three schools? esp. in a major like education?
Answer:
I personally wouldn't suggest that you go to any of them because it sounds like you're over-qualified to go to them. Why not try somewhere like Georgetown, William and Mary, Syracuse, UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory, or Virginia and let the others be your fall-back schools?
Anyway, I guess if you have your heart set on one of them, Clemson is, for all intensive purposes, the better school. USC is rated significantly lower and charleston isn't a top ranked school at all.
Don't sell yourself short though.

Clemson University, University of South Carolina, or University of Connecticut? Question: I am a sophmore at SUNY Farmingdale in NY. I hate the school; it's a commuter school and its very boring. The campus is very plain and nothing is ever going on. It's hard to meet people because everyone commutes and never stays on campus. I am transferring and I'm looking at some big schools. Clemson University, University of South Carolina, or University of Connecticut. I'm big into sports so as you can see I would love to go to a big school like those 3. Can anyone tell me what the campuses at any of these 3 schools are like? Are there things to do around the area? Students and teachers?
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks
Answer:
There is obviously a lot to take into consideration when deciding to change schools. First, what are you studying? You'll want to consider the school that can offer you the best education in your area of study as most important. Second, what type of environment do you want: Urban, rural, suburban?
Let me preface the following with this disclaimer: I'm a USC grad and Columbia resident; I have also never been to UConn, but know Clemson well.
Carolina and Clemson both have HUGE nationaly ranked sports programs. No, neither is recognized like Florida or Southern Cal, but we're getting there. However, Carolina has Spurrier, so what more can I say? UConn is not at the same level by any stretch of the imagination.
Carolina is located in the heart of the capital city of South Carolina, Columbia. There are two major entertainment districts abutting the campus, and the city and campus are seeing major investment and construction projects. Columbia is not quite, but almost a 24-hour city. There is on-campus housing as well as private dorms close to campus. Carolina is best known for its business school, but also has excellent public health, nursing, humanities, social work, music, medical, pharmacy, and engineering programs. But don't take my word for it, do some research and also visit the campus.
Clemson is also a great school which has a focus moreso on agriculture and engineering than business and humanities. The campus abutts a neat, small town named for the school, which is pretty much the sole entertainment venue within walking distance. The campus is set in an enourmous rural setting. It's quite beautiful there, and if not for being 30-45 minutes from civilization, would be a great place to go to school. Greenville is the closest CITY, and there is a lot to do there, however most everything closes at midnight by law. Clemson is a pretty close-knit community, so that may be in your favor.
From what I can gather about UConn, it is also in a very rural area, and the campus seems very small. From your description of your current environment, I'd say that this would probably not be an improvement. However, the campus does seem very nice. Again, I'd take a campus visit before deciding one way or the other.
I put some links to the schools as well as link to demographics about the communities in which they are located. I hope you find this information useful!

1. Clemson
2. Georgia Tech
3.Hampton
4. North Carolina State
5. Western Carolina
6.Appalachian State
I'm going to the 11th grade and wanted to know. i have a 3.4 gpa. i'm involved in sports too. which college from the list is the best. also, does it snow in clemson south carolina or somewhere in that area? which college from the list has a high acceptance rate? i need some info or personal experience info from those colleges
Answer:
Sports? It is up to Clemson to find a best player with the high school history.
Snow depends.
If you are within the rate above 10%, then you are accepted.
Small colleges like number 3 to 6, may accept a player to any sports.

Clemson University or University of South Carolina Upstate? Question: Which is a better college for either a teaching degree or a business administraTion degree? Pros and cons of each college?
Answer:
The best method to find out info is to find a student. You can locate some contact information for South Carolina universities here. http://www.collegereviewed.com/South-Carolina-Colleges-Universiti es.html The students always seem to know what's going on better than outsiders since they get to experience the classes and the lifestyle.

Who's the better team: Clemson or South Carolina?
Answer:
Since this is in the "Football" thread, the answer is Clemson. But SC holds its own against Clemson in other sports like Baseball (Ray Tanner is amazing, multiple trips to the CWS) and Basketball (2005 NIT Champs).
Unfortunately, in South Carolina, the only thing that counts is football. And Clemson should talk: 1981 National Champions and by the following November, the NCAA had placed them on three-years probation for "for giving cash, cars and other gifts to its football players". Coincidence?
