City Description

White Oak West is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,932 at the 2000 census. White Oak West is located at 39°12′15″N 84°36′49″W / 39.20417°N 84.61361°W / 39.20417; -84.61361 (39.204158, -84.613664). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.5 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,932 people, 1,123 households, and 855 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,185.0 people per square mile (844.8/km²). There were 1,152 housing units at an average density of 858.5/sq mi (331.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.61% White, 1.13% African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.10% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.17% of the population. There were 1,123 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.1% were married couples living together, 6.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families. 20.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age
