Waldo is located at 40°27′31″N 83°4′41″W / 40.45861°N 83.07806°W / 40.45861; -83.07806 (40.458481, -83.078054).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.7 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 332 people, 144 households, and 92 families residing in the village. The population density was 510.5 people per square mile (197.2/km²). There were 153 housing units at an average density of 235.2/sq mi (90.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.70% White and 0.30% Asian.
There were 144 households out of which 26.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.9% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.1% were non-families. 32.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.31 and the average family size was 2.98.
