I normally have a great experience here but I ate dinner on the evening of Aug 5 and there were bugs crawling in my food. They appeared to be small fruit flies or gnats. The concern is that their kitchen must be crawling with these things in order for my food to become contaminated. The manager was advised and although he did not charge me for my food would you believe he had the nerve to still charge me for my drinks????!!!!!! If I were the manager I would have at least apologized advised the customer that there was no charge AND I would have even offered a gift certificate or some other gesture to encourage the patron to give the restaurant another chance. VERY VERY DISGUSTING and disappointing!!! Picture included!

Keep Track of your money. I went in today with only a $50 in my pocket. I did not pay attention when I received my change but I received change for a $10. This I fully take the blame for. I went back in when I noticed I was $40 short. The lady went on about how the only thing she had gotten all morning was $20s and did not have a $50. Now not being able to prove how much change I got I can accept but telling me that she had not taken in ANY $50s this morning is 100% incorrect. If she doesnt have it then some lucky soul got a $50 instead of a $10 for change. There is no denying that the food is good but unfortunately I dont feel I should give business to someone who lacks the eyesight to tell a 10 from a 50. Again I take full responsibility for my mistake. Being short changed doesnt anger me. It is the fact that lady denied getting a $50 bill all day when I know 100% that was all I had in my pocked along with a few singles. So if you decide to enjoy their food dont repeat my mistakes and count your change.

AWFUL. if your looking for something a step above old country buffets pasta bar this is it. but if your looking for italian food youd be better off at an olive garden (and thats not saying much). poor service poor food uncleanly small rations and i felt like i was eating at a flea market. added bonus: after your server cleans off the previous 3 tables with a filthy dish rag she makes your hand tossed salad all by herself. she even tells you i forgot to put croutons on it and comes back and gives you a handful. stay away.

I went with my mother recently as I remembered it being an excellent place we would go for special occasions. Everything I had was HORRIBLE!!!! The french onion soup was so salty I sent it back. I ordered salmon and french fries and it was so awful!! The salmon had absolutely no seasoning and was so overcooked it was crunchy. The french fries were super over fried and hard as a rock. I never send back food or complain and I sent back everything and got it all taken off our bill. I was completely shocked at how horrible it all was. It was sad!!

This is by far one of my favorite resturants in Dayton! The food is exceptional! The staff is fabulous along with the interior of the resturant. One of my favorite dishes is the red curry as well as the yellow fried rice.

We ate here once on Valentines Day 2009. This restaurant treated us right - it was the only steakhouse that evening that claimed to be able to seat us in less than 3 hours. The host quoted me 1 1/2 hours and when I left the restaurant to check with my wife and park our car and we came back in to be put on the waiting list he bumped us up in the queue because he remembered me. VERY nice! The wait was more like 40 minutes very reasonable for the day we went. The steaks were excellent done perfectly to our order. It was a very positive experience on an evening when we were about to pack it in and head to Taco Bell. :( We will definitely be back. Update from May 09 - went back - same level of service.

OMG!!! Just went there for the first time tonight and it was AWESOME!! You have to try the Playgirl rolls! SOOOOO YUMMY!!! Definitely where Im going for Sushi from now on! The service is fantastic also very friendly!!

I dont frequent this restaurant as often as I do others--but I have to concur with most of the observations that others have included in their reviews. Every food item I have ever ordered here has been wonderful--I do agree with the comment on portion size---their portions are simply HUGE!!!! I also concur with the comments about the Caesar Salad--it is one of the best in Dayton. Beyond the food--this restaurant is a hip place to be---with the young people who work as waitstaff being from central casting---they are all gorgeous and if Dayton has a place where the beautiful people hang--this is it! You can tell the clientele is high end when you park in the lot--its full of Bimmers Caddies Mercedes Porsches and other high end cars. It does get very rowdy and loud at times----but not enough to take away from the food experience. The bar is a great place to hang and get a quality drink and to see and be seen as well. For good food served large--this is the place to go!

I used to be obsessed with their chicken lomein. It was truly the best I had ever had in the whole country. However I ordered it once and the container had a large rusty nail in the bottom!!! And to top it off when I called and complained and said I wanted new food...they said I would have to pay to have them come back out!!! Unbelievable!! I had their lomein twice last year and they have obviously completely changed their recipe and it wasnt that great. I had also loved the crab rangoon...and now its sickly sweet!!

i had dinner here tonight (10/14) and it was fantastic! we had pho one of my favorite vietnamese dishes - lovely fresh tasting broth herbs jalapenos bean sprouts rice noodles thin slices of beef. i tried the special hot pot - ricevietnamese sausage chicken beef shrimp corriander vegetables lime - no food group left unturned with exception of dairy. it was delish. the star of the meal was the shrimp crepe starter. if you go here make sure and try it. a crispy egg crepe filled with shrimp bean sprouts and vegetables. the crepe was served with lettuce leaves basil corriander and dipping sauce. my parents had never had vietnamese food before and loved it. we may go back tomorrow!

Nice quite atmosphere in a very plain but tastefully decorated dining room with lovey table settings. Very good service from the old school with a nice relaxed and friendly way. The food is all freshly prepared and of the highest quality. Lunch and dinner prices are very reasonable. You will always have a good meal here and the desserts are truly homemade. Call to make sure they are open as they usually serve lunch M- F and dinner on Thurs - Saturday. Dayton lacks on good restaurants Benhams is tops and will become your favorite. They are also considered one of the areas best caterers.

Thank you I Zu for making our wonderful lunch today! We were a little leary of the area but the entrance ramp was closed taking us north on Dixie. It was cold and miserable today and I had taken my son to Cinci for the Coast Guard. We were so bone chilled and hungry after the drive! I was going to make a miso soup lunch for us and entered Koyama Shoten to get the ingredients. I have been to the grocery before but have never tried the restaurant. We went ahead gave it a try. We were given a portable heater at our table! We were then asked for our orders only after being served with two hot warm towels for our hands and offered hot tea! Salad and miso soup followed. Sushi deluxe was what we both got. It was very fresh! A real treat today!

I just ate here for the first time today. I had a carnitas burrito. It was great food! Like the small authentic mexican fast food places out in AZ. They even had Horchata (rice cinnamon and almond drink) which is delicious! I discovered this drink in AZ when I was visiting my dad. I never thought Id find it in OH! Its great food as well and Ill definately be trying it again!
