City DescriptionBeverly is a village in Washington County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,282 at the 2000 census. The village is named after Beverly, Massachusetts.
In March 1907, much of Beverly was flooded.
Beverly is located at 39°32′56″N 81°38′10″W / 39.54889°N 81.63611°W / 39.54889; -81.63611 (39.548790, -81.636030).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.0 km²), of which, 0.7 square miles (1.9 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it is water. The total area is 7.69% water.
Beverly is located by the Muskingum River.
State Routes 60, 83, and 339 converge at Beverly.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,282 people, 556 households, and 351 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,757.6 people per square mile (678.1/km²). There were 604 housing units at an average density of 828.1/sq mi (319.5/km²).
