Benton Ridge is located at 41°0′16″N 83°47′34″W / 41.00444°N 83.79278°W / 41.00444; -83.79278 (41.004330, -83.792655).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 315 people, 118 households, and 82 families residing in the village. The population density was 678.6 people per square mile (264.4/km²). There were 122 housing units at an average density of 262.8/sq mi (102.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.37% White, 0.32% African American and 0.32% Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.95% of the population.
There were 118 households out of which 40.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.3% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.7% were non-families. 28.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 3.34.
