I't now has a different name, my Greatgrandparents had the only grocery store there. Hardly anyone remembers the town being called that,my Mom does though. I think its called Green , something now. Where could I find pictures?

Mudsock is a town located in Franklin County according to the town locator on Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness. However, I have discovered that there has been more than one Mudsock and the one you want is in Logan County, Ohio.

From a Logan County History I found the following:
North Greenfield is located on survey No. 4,210, of military land. It was surveyed and laid out by S. A. Harbison, County Surveyor, for the proprietor, Henry Van Vheris, June 1847, and the plat recorded November 12, 1848. The place consists of a collection of perhaps a dozen houses, one store, two or three shop, a church and a postoffiice. The town was originally called "Mudsock," from the immense quantity of mud which used to appear there in the winter season.

I don't know about Pandora or Dover. However, I've lived in Bellefontaine for 11 years now and it's faily small. We don't have a mall (the nearest one is either in Columbus or Springfield, approx. 45 minutes). We do have a few restaurants, though some of them aren't very good, including Bob Evans, Tumbleweed, Bananas, 68 Grill, pretty much every fast food place, Skyline Chili, several Chinese restaurants, etc. There's a bowling alley, a movie theater with 8 screens (and no cupholders...). The town has its own AM/FM radio station and a Super WalMart. I can't think of much else to say. It's a pretty boring place!

I've been to Bellefontaine and it seems like it would be a good place to live. I live about an hour away, also. I'm sure they have a Wal-Mart SuperCenter and Krogers, as for places to eat, I'm not sure what they have. Somewhere around there, there is a place to go skiing, if you're into that.
