City Description

Beechwood Trails is a census-designated place (CDP) in Licking County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,258 at the 2000 census. Beechwood Trails is located at 40°1′25″N 82°39′3″W / 40.02361°N 82.65083°W / 40.02361; -82.65083 (40.023725, -82.650823). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (8.9 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,258 people, 753 households, and 679 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 653.8 people per square mile (252.7/km²). There were 766 housing units at an average density of 221.8/sq mi (85.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.68% White, 1.20% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.04% from other races, and 1.28% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.62% of the population. There were 753 households out of which 43.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 85.0% were married couples living together, 3.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 9.8% were non-families. 7.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 1.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
