Batesville is a village in Noble County, Ohio, United States. The population was 100 at the 2000 census. Batesville is located at 39°54′51″N 81°16′52″W / 39.91417°N 81.28111°W / 39.91417; -81.28111 (39.914302, -81.281046). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 100 people, 40 households, and 28 families residing in the village. The population density was 402.7 people per square mile (154.4/km²). There were 43 housing units at an average density of 173.2/sq mi (66.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White. There were 40 households out of which 40.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.0% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.0% were non-families. 27.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 3.11.
