moving to north carolina? Question: my husband has 2 job offers - one in greensboro and another in burlington. which one is the better place to live. i would like to find an apartment in some area where schools are good. can anyone suggest the area where i should live?
Answer:
I live just outside of Greensboro near oak ridge and its nice out here. Not as crowded or as busy as a big city but not as country as it used to be either. There are places to go shopping near by and there are a lot of recreational opportunities out here. The school that i have recently graduated from is Northwest High School, it is supposed to be one of the best in the state and the best in the county (academically). I thought it was fairly decent but the principle there right now is not one of my favorite people and i share the same opinion as many other students and staff of the school. But it is very large and it is overcrowded but a new school is being built close by (Northern High along with Northern Middle). I also went to Northwest middle school and it was a very nice school for the most part. And i attended Stokesdale elementary for most of my elementary school years and i loved it there but it has changed since i have been there is like twice as big since the remodeled and added on to it. I'm sorry i don't know much about Burlington except that it is close by and has some good shopping.

Looking for a church......? Question: Does anyone know of a church in Mebane or Burlington North Carolina that is Baptist and fairly small. I want a church who's service doesn't go according to a program handed out at the front door. I would also prefer if they had a nursury, but if not they can't mind if my 9 month old daughter is with me during service.
Answer:
As I don't live in NC, this is the best I can do:
First Baptist Church of Mebane
(919) 563-3176
307 N Third St
Mebane, NC 27302
Tabernacle Baptist Church
(919) 563-6753
523 N Charles St
Mebane, NC 27302
The Greater Canaan Baptist Church
(919) 563-2837

First Baptist Church of Graham
(336) 226-7395
224 N Main St
Burlington, NC 27217
http://www.fbcgraham.org/
Quote from their website: The church is large enough to offer a variety of programs for all ages, from preschoolers to senior adults, for spiritual growth, and hands on mission endeavors. At the same time you will never feel "lost in the crowd" because the church membership is friendly, engaging, and receptive.
