best place to fish for trout in a stocked pond in western north carolina?? Question: Hi...my husband and I are traveling to Dillsboro, NC and Brevard, NC next week. We would like to find a great spot to fish for stocked trout, where they provide the equipment and bait. Can anyone recommend a place? Also, are there other great outdoors activiites in those areas? How about good places to eat?
Answer:
I know of a place a little ways from Brevard that has nice stocked trout ponds. Its in Marion NC, McDowell county on Buck Creek road. There are several pay ponds there full of nice trout . One I took some kids to was called Elliots Trout Farm on Buck Creek . We caught lots of fish there
. There is great fishing in Davidson River and in Horse Pasture River . The state record rainbow trout was caught in Horsepasture River in Brevard ,it was just over 20 pounds . Good Fishing to ya
While your in Brevard check out sliding rock its a fun place . And the Blue Ridge Parkway is a nice road to drive. If you get a chance go through the Smoky Mountains and over to Cades Cove Tennessee . I was just there a couple weeks ago and saw lots of wildlife . Its not far from Gatlinburg Tenn. there is lots of stuff there to see also.

traffic ticket help in western north carolina? Question: looking for assistance fighting the speeding ticket I receive near Brevard, N.C.
Answer:
Depends on what your how fast you were driving.
Go to court the day printed on the ticket.
Ask for a plea reduction.
Ex. 70 mph in 55 mph can be reduced to a 60 mph.
It will show up your record with the DMV, but not on your insurance.
Try to avoid the prayer of judgment. It stays with you for 3 years and only one person in the family can use it.
The courts cannot sway you one way or another.
Just listen to what the others.
