    This page is about the town in North Carolina. For other communities of the same name, see Boonville (disambiguation) Boonville is a town in Yadkin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,138 at the 2000 census. Boonville is located at 36°14′0″N 80°42′28″W / 36.233333°N 80.70778°W / 36.233333; -80.70778 (36.233338, -80.707853). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.3 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,138 people, 476 households, and 343 families residing in the town. The population density was 894.0 people per square mile (346.0/km²). There were 511 housing units at an average density of 401.4/sq mi (155.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 94.29% White, 4.48% African American, 0.26% Asian, 0.70% from other races, and 0.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.35% of the population.
