what is the best camping spot in the Uwharrie National Forest in North Carolina? Question: I love camping and My favorite spot is the Badin Lake campground and my dad needs to know where is the best spot to camp in Uwharrie National Forest.
Answer:
Wow, right close to home. I'm in Albemarle and I go to the Uwharries a lot. I do a lot of wilderness camping so a lot of the times I'm off the trails. I know they have one campground called Yates Place Campground and it's a pretty good spot. Most of the time you can walk along the Uwharrie trail and there'll be spots along the trail that others have camped at. There you can find flat ground, usually cleaned up from debris, as well as fire rings already made. That tends to work out well too. If you have anymore questions, just shoot me an email!
