City DescriptionAngier is a town in the Black River Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,419 at the 2000 census.
Angier is located at 35° 30’31" North, 78° 44’15" West (35.508587, -78.737487).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km²), of which, 2.3 square miles (5.9 km²) of it is land and 0.43% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,419 people, 1,356 households, and 870 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,493.7 people per square mile (576.5/km²). There were 1,478 housing units at an average density of 645.7/sq mi (249.2/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 67.42% White, 23.37% African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.94% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 6.23% from other races, and 1.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.17% of the population.
