Bellport, Long Island in New York City? Question: I am thinking about buying a house in Bellport, Long Island. Wondering if someone is able to tell me about the neighborhood and the schools.
Answer:
I lived on Long Island Shirley was the town until 1994, When i was there there were two parts of bellport. On one half, nice middle-upper private neighborhoods. The other side CRACK HEAD CITY! Prostitutes everywhere lots of crime. Bad neighborhood. Try the town Wading River, Ridge, Port Jeff, Shorham etc, middle to north shore Long Island. Long Wood, Hauppauge, and Sachem school District are OK. Center Moriches is also very good to live and school.
