Fly from New York to London Heathrow. Then take the frequent air to rail link bus from Heathrow to Reading Station; from Reading Station First Great Western trains run every 30 minutes to Bath and take 50 to 55 minutes to reach Bath. If you wish to visit London before going to Bath these trains run from Paddington Station in London to Bath every 30 minutes and take 85 minutes (Bath is about 120 miles from London and 80 miles from Reading). www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk

Are there any public baths in the New York area? Question: I am new to the NYC area, and I'm wondering if there are any public baths (hammams) where young men can meet?
Answer:
Go down to the South Bronx. Just walk around a while. There is one on almost every corner. If you don't see one just ask. Everyone is very friendly down there and if they approach you it is because they like to meet new people and make new friends.

Looking for a place to stay in New york in September? Question: I am travelling 2 New York with my six year old son & would like 2 rent a room from Sept 7th to Sept 11th preferably in Queens/Manhattan/Long Island area. Dont mind paying up to $100 a day. Must have private bath, A/C, fridge, microwave (kitchenette optional) & either 2 beds in 1 room OR 1 very large bed. Was checking out hotels & stuff online but found the good ones too expensive. Will use hotel if not successful but trying other options first. Any ideas? Serious answers only please.
Answer:
Hello! 100 dollars a day is more than enogh to find places to stay that are safe, well located, and within your specifications. The main way to find something is knowing that hostels have private rooms you can book and also knowing that hostels are not flea bags or unsafe. There are several places that promote themselves as hostels/budget hotels and some of them are incredibly nice. I like the gerswin hotel and the chealsea star hotel. There are several other hostels and hotels to choose from though. The links below will get you started. Hostels and budget hotels are all over Manhattan.
If you hate the idea of hostels or don't find one that suits you, I have included a link for NYC hotels as well where you should be able to find several hotels for less than 100 dollars.
Happy travels!

I want to move to new york with my friend. we want to get a one bed one bath apt. we're both students.? Question: can it be done? we're 18 with spunk haha. we'd both be full time students and work at the same time. we both just want to get out of san antonio. we hate texas. no offense.
Answer:
yes it can be done as long as you have enough money. In New York an avarage one bedroom may cost roughly $ 750-1500.00 depending on the location. I once was there and I had to come here in Texas. Its a nice place, very much congested, too much traffic, but it all depend on how you would find it.

please help i live in new york but want to buy a house in Florida. Can anyone tell me how much(roughly) a 3BR? Question: 1-2 bath house will cost.I don't want a fixer-upper but it does not need to be a palace just a nice house.Being specific maybe the St. petersburg/clearwater area.
Answer:
First off St. Petersburg is a beautiful place to live, The average price of a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom is around $250,000 and up. I recommend that you get a real estate agent as soon as possible and check out homes for sale on google or yahoo. Most sights come with pictures and details about the homes,

Do you have a recipe for Italian Hard Rolls like those sold in a New York deli? Question: I am told they are hard and crusty. I've tried an egg white bath before baking which makes hard but any recipe I've tried has to yeasty an interior. I am making them to please a friend here on the West Coast.
Answer:
HARD ROLLS
3 pkg. yeast
3 tbsp. shortening, melted
4 1/2 c. warm water

What are some good places to live near West Point, New York? Question: I'm interested in having a dwelling with at least 3 bed, 2 bath, and a yard. Should be fairly safe. I've noticed that Newburgh and New Windsor have lower home prices, anyone know why?
Something within a 30 minute commute to West Point??
Answer:
Lower home prices compared to what? Monroe? Yes. Compared to New York City? Definitely. To most other towns their size? To towns ten more minutes north? H*LL NO. I grew up there and got tired of getting hosed financially, so I moved somewhere significantly cheaper - Las Vegas. In case you didn't notice, this country's economy is in the toilet - some home sellers have acknowledged this fact, many others have not. Also, the closer in commuting distance you are into NYC, the more expensive the homes are going to be, because people can get it. (Someone moving up from the city: "A quarter mil for a teeny condo within five minutes' drive to the train station? Dirt cheap!" Thus driving up the prices for the other schmucks moving into the area.) Honestly, because those towns are just that much further away from easy commuting into the city, they're a bit cheaper. (Compare it to Garrison or Highland Falls, you'll see I'm right.)
You're also going to find ridiculous taxes no matter where you go in that area. There's some neighborhoods in the Monroe-Woodbury school district where property and school taxes cost as much yearly as to purchase a luxury car. Are your children getting a stellar education for that money? Nope. They're getting average educations.
Now, what can I recommend? Most parts of Newburgh and New Windsor are fairly safe. (Newburgh has a less lazy police department, if that makes a difference to you.) I would stay away from the east side of the city of Newburgh and you have to watch parts of the town of Newburgh. (Yes, there are two separate municpalites) Beacon is also acceptable - in parts. But, then you have a bridge toll (either Newburgh-Beacon or Bear Mountain) to contend with. Parts of Campbell Hall are also affordable. Much outside of those areas, you're looking at longer than 30 minutes' commute. BUT, if a good school district is what matters to you - anything in the Newburgh schools is worth it. It's a fairly large, racially and economically diverse school district that offers more programs than many others. (People pay tuition from out of district to get their kids into those schools.)
