Questions Possibly Related to Auburn, New YorkProvided By Y! Answers
What do I do if a judgment is served to me in Auburn, New York? Question: I need to know what happens after the judgment is served.
Answer:
***** Got your email but could not respond since you haven't verified your email at YA.
Yes, negotiate. It is always best to avoid court if you can but don't let them screw you either. Let them know your willing to go to court if you need to go.
When going to negotiate, make an appointment, take proof you have a little pension income, are unemployed, have no savings and that your net worth is small.
Then make them an offer about half of what you want the final payment to be. So go in and say, I want to make good but look at my position, I think I could pay you $10 or $15 a week, then try to get them to accept $25.
If they say no keep your paperwork together and go to court. Say the same thing to the judge. I tried to make good with the se folks and offered to pay $25 a week but they wouldn't take it. Look at my earnings, assests, etc. I think $25 a week is fair.
Try to look like a sad little puppy going up against the big evil bank and their lawyers.
DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS you are comfortable negotiating. If there is a chance you will get bamboozled you will need to get an attorney. Only you can make this choice.
Also you said you got a pension and are unemployed. If this means you are older play the 'I'm trying really hard' card too. I can only pay $25 a week now but I am looking really hard for a job, but you know it isn't easy at age XX to get work with all the other folks looking for work.
Just keep it simple, don't ovetalk to the judge, don't make the same point over and over, try to seem like the simple guy who's just trying his best to do the right thing.
Verify your email and keep me posted!

how far is auburn nys from new york city? Question: in miles
Answer:
My inital thought was 5 hours drive time. I google-mapped it and it's 251 miles city to city, which is anticipated to be 4 1/2 hours' drive. Auburn, NY is just south of Syracuse, which is the middle of the state - 1/2 way to Ohio. (And most NYC residents would consider it to be the midwest because it's past Jersey.)

Why do some women get highlights in their hair? Question: I have noticed that a lot of women here in New York City get highlights in their hair.
Particularly Latina women with black or brown hair - typically, they get blonde, chesnut or auburn highlights - but I have also seen red highlights too.
Why do you think these women get their hair highlighted?
Do you think it's a good look?
Answer:
Women get highlights in their hair for different reasons. Some people get them to flatter and highlight their skintone, some get them because they like a particular color and want it in their hair, some women get highlights because they want to do something different to their hair without completely covering it in hair dye. The reasons are numerous. I think it's a good look if the color isn't drastically different from their natural one. I like highlights that are more subtle. I used to highlight my hair, but I let them grow out. Alot of people seem to be getting them nowadays, and I wanted to do something a bit different. I'm back to my natural black hair now.

Should I go to a southern college? Question: I'm trying to decide what college I should go to next year. I live in New York and I applied to some colleges in the northeast but I also applied to southern school like Auburn and Clemson. I'm a huge sports fan, very conservative, and i've heard that southern people are polite and southern girls are hot. But some people say that it would be too weird to live in the north for my whole life and then go south for college. What do you think?
Answer:
Lots of northerners do just fine going to college in the south. For example, huge numbers of kids from New Jersey and Ohio go to the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

Fred Scott records? Question: I'm looking for a Fred Scott born in Cortland City, New York he had a wife who was Jane Nostrandt
Born: 21 February 1885
Moravia New York
Died: March 1975
Auburn New York
He had a daughter named Marion Scott and I would like some records on him? Thanks
Answer:
I've been searching Ancestry and elsewhere, to no avail. All I've found is a public family tree which contains the 3 of them (but, unfortunately, no further info on Fred). There are SO many Fred Scotts and Frederick Scotts born in NY in the 1870-1890 date range, and I'm not finding any of them married to a Jane in a 20th century Census or in a military record of any kind. I've searched Cortland County Census records from the 19th century and found nothing conclusive there, either (several Fred Scotts). Here's the link to that tree, in case you haven't seen it: http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/person.aspx?pid=-1801244034&tid=2924 562
When I get completely stuck in my research, I back up a step, and sometimes that helps me see new avenues to look into.
Have you already gotten a copy of the marriage license for Fred and Jane (which might provide names of parents and/or other relatives)? Do you know if they are buried together (which might help us narrow down the birth and death years for Fred, and/or possibly give us a middle name for him)? Do you have a copy of Jane's or Fred's birth certificate, or even a copy of Marion's?
I hope this helps give you some fresh ideas, wish I could have helped more!
edit: I found these people with the Scott surname in Cortland County, NY, in the 1889 county directory - - perhaps a clue lies within this list:
Scott David 3 Glen Haven
Scott Joseph Glen Haven
Scott Nataniel 50 Scott
Scott O. W. 6 Scott
Scott Sarah Mrs. 10 Glen Haven
(the link is http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nycortla/dir89x90/dir89sco.htm)
You might consider posting a query on this Cortland County site: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nycortla/qsys/addquery.htm

LSU lacks big time rivalry, develops fake one with USC. Who agrees with me? Question: Major League Baseball there is the New York Yankees vs. the Boston Red Sox.
College basketball has Duke vs. North Carolina.
And college football has Michigan vs. Ohio State, Auburn vs. Alabama and LSU vs. Arkansas … or Ole Miss … or Florida … or, Alabama.
The list goes on.
While LSU provides one of the most unique and exciting atmospheres in college sports, one thing the football program has lacked in recent years is the presence of a big-time rivalry - the single game fans and players alike look forward to every season.
Some players mark the day of the Florida game on their calendars, others the Auburn game, and others circle the day after Thanksgiving when the Tigers traditionally battle Arkansas for the Golden Boot.
Ever since LSU and USC split the national championship in 2003, Tiger fans have developed hatred for the Trojans, developing a "rivalry" based not on head-to-head wins and losses but on polling decisions by media members and coaches.
The question is this. Is LSU a faker?
or
Are LSU fans bandwagon????
I didn't report you.
I notice someone delete your answer.
Bring it back!!
LSU balls yesterday had a good answer to my question. The only true LSU fan.
Answer:
Very astute observation, Austin.
These answers can't seem to decide who is the rival, and many of them list several rivals or the entire SEC. LAME. If there was a big time rivalry, every LSU fan would have the same answer.

30/ San Diego Chargers Dwayne Bowe, WR, Louisiana State
31/ Chicago Bears Anthony Spencer, LB, Purdue
32/ Indianapolis Colts Justin Harrell DT Tennessee
Thanks Rome, have any supporting material (link) that says they are looking that way?
Answer:
This looks good as a whole but there are a few things to take into consideration.
1. Pittsburgh has expressed a huge ammount of intrest in Darelle Revis and he will not slip to the Pats.
2. In that case Polouszny slips to the Bengals and Beason will go to the Patriots as their Linebackers are getting old.
3. Tampa loves Calvin way too much and I personall see them swapping picks with the Lions to insure they get him. Lions will then take Gaines Adams.
4. Joe Staley may go to the Chiefs if you see them taking a lineman, Joe Staley is my personal pick, but they really could use a #1 receiver. Meachum, Bowe, and Ginn all possiblities.
5. I dont know why but teams love to take TE's too ealry so the Pathers or Green Bay may reach for Greg Olsen.
6. The Eagles have no real needs and will go with the best player on the board. So good call there, although they may want to add stability to an injury prone line.
*** Frayne its 3 wideouts in 5 years . . . Mike Williams, Roy Williams, and Charles Rogers. Harrington and Ernie Sims went somewhere in between.

Permanent Hair color remover - Hair experts please help!!? Question: I originally have jet black hair, but I have dyed it twice within 6 months to a dark auburn brown. Since my hair was dark my hairdresser had to permanently dye it. Even though I do like the auburn hair, I want my black hair back. I read about stripping and bleaching and these do it yourself remedies, but I'm scared and I don't want my hair to get damaged. By the way I'm African American, so a problem that I do have is that my hair gets relaxed, and I know that most of these color remover products warn against using if you have relaxed or permed hair. Another problem that I do have is that I can't consult the hairdresser who dyed my hair because she's in Rochester (where I went to school) and I'm back in New York City. But, there has to be something out there that can restore my hair to its shiny blackness. I read reviews on all these different at home products, but they make me weary because I know if I do it, I'll ruin my hair. So if anybody knows of anything, please let me know!
Answer:
Ok, here goes..your hair has already been bleached/stripped in order to come up a lighter shade than your natural shade. All you need to do is purchase an over the counter (Target, WalMart) color and follow the directions for a virgin application.(Pick a color close to your natural shade, a little darker if you have to choose lighter or darker, it will fade eventually). This means you will start to apply the color about an inch away from your scalp then go back and apply to the root area. You will most likely need to leave the product on for about 30 minutes. Just follow the directions. You should not have any additional damage to your hair since you are not removing color only adding it. You can also use a semi or demi perminant color , but it will fade and you may need to reapply in about a month. They will make your hair feel healthier if anything and it may seem thicker too!
