    City Description

    Armonk is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the town of North Castle in Westchester County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 3,461. Armonk is home to the global headquarters of information technology company IBM and bond insurer MBIA, and the Americas headquarters of reinsurer Swiss Re. The North Castle Public Library is located in Armonk and is a member of the Westchester Library System. Smith's Tavern, a local historical site and landmark of the Revolutionary War, is also located in Armonk. Today, it is the home of the North Castle Historical Society. Armonk is also unique in that there are no national chain stores within the town itself. With the exception of the two gas stations, a supermarket, and three banks, all of the businesses are locally owned and operated. Armonk is located at 41°7′43″N 73°42′28″W / 41.12861, -73.70778 (41.128631, -73.707886). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.1 square miles (15.9 km²), of which, 6.1 square miles (15.7 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.65%) is water.     How to get to Yankee stadium from Armonk, New-York?
    Question:
    Hi, I am not from New-York at all and need you guys's help since I'm privileged enough to be able to go to the game tomorrow with my father. We are trying to figure out which is the best possible way to get to the stadium. I'm currently in Armonk New-York staying at my uncle's house (he's not there though) and I'm not quite sure as to which is the best possible way to get to the house that Ruth built from there. I do have a car and am willing to take public transportation to the stadium although I'm not sure where e to start. I could drive into NYC, park and take the subway too but having never driven there I'm not quite sure where to go. I do have a GPS though. The game starts at 1:00PM and I want to get there a tad early and I'm giving myself about 2 hours... Please help! Thanks! - Jeremy

    Answer:
    Ok being that your in Westchester County the best route to get to the stadium by car would be to take 684 south and when it becomes The Hutch (Hutchinson River Parkway) stay on the Hutch till you come up to the Cross County Parkway which is exit 15. Go west on the Cross County Parkway to I-87 (The Thruway) south, The Thruway turns into the Major Deegan Expressway at the Bronx/Yonkers border continue to follow the Major Deegan until you come up to exit 5 or 6 either one will get you to Yankee Stadium which will be on your left when your coming off the Deegan. If you want to take the train which would probably be a lot easier. Take the 9:10am train out of Chappaqua station which is in Armonk heading towards New York City/Grand Central Terminal you'll pass three stops the fourth stop is going to be 125th Street in Manhattan get off their and walk east on 125th Street to Lexington Avenue and get on an uptown 4 train you'll pass two stops, the third one will be Yankee Stadium. Now just remember to get the train at 9:10am not the 11:13am train as that would be too close to game time when you'll be getting to the game. If you do miss the 9:10am train then it would be best to drive.

    So I'm going up to Armonk, New York and visiting NYC in a couple of weeks. I once heard about a club where they have drums you beat on with flourescent paint and blacklights. Anybody know of such a dance club in the area? I think there was also one portrayed on that movie ms. congeniality with sandra bullock. I'm only 20 so if its a 21 or older club I'm S.O.L there's paint on the drums and when you beat them the paint splatters all over you

    best answer is drive!!! If not, take MetroNorth railroad from Armonk to 125th st. Switch over to #4 subway to Yankee stadium.
