I am looking for a great deal flying from Cleveland/Akron to Newark/New York?
    Question:
Do you know where I can find a great deal on airline tickets???

    Answer:
A good site to search for flights is with "18K Travel" http://www.ytbtravel.com/18ktravel It is also advisable to search around until you find the best deal that is right for you. No travel site, airline or travel agency can claim the have the cheapest prices at any given time. The prices are driven by too many factors (the market, gas prices, time of booking, place of departure, place of arrival, etc).

How would you compare the life in New York City and the life in Akron, OH?

    Answer:
You can't compare the two. NYC is The Big Apple for a reason, there's nowhere like it on earth. No city, large or small can compare in NY's diversity, whether it's the people, the food, the arts, etc. No offense, but Akron is a snoozefest in comparison to NYC.

Hi! I've just recently moved to Akron from New York. I have seen a gray bird that looks like pelican.?
    Question:
Hi! I've just recently moved to Akron from New York. I live about 200 feet from a lake and about 3/4 of a mile from a river. I have spotted in both places, early in the morning, a gray bird with a long beak and a long neck. I have not actually seen them go in the water but be beside it or on a perch as if waiting for a fish. It looks like a pelican but I don't think it is. Any help?

bus trips from ohio to new york for one day?
    Question:
besides greyhound, does anyone know where you can get a bus trip from ohio (youngstown or akron area) to new york city for the day. A group of 3 wants to go shopping- leave early and come back at night. i want it before christmas.

    Answer:
There are not many transit buses that go all the way like that. Your best bet is a train or plane. Either one will be equal to riding greyhound and if you really do your research it could be cheaper. I have been to Las Vegas from Los Angeles on a greyhound and it's not worth it, not the price nor the way there. There are no other buses I know of, and I ride the bus system everywhere, so if I don't know the way or the ride there, there isn't any other way. Check out trains! MUCH FASTER! AND FUN! Best luck and Happy Holidays!

    Question:
What city? New York City, New York Washington, DC Denver, Colorado Las Vegas, Nevada Orlando, Florida Los Angeles, California Chicago, Illinois Atlanta, Georgia Houston, Texas Boston, Massachusetts Phoenix, Arizona Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Minneapolis, Minnesota Seattle, Washington Portland, Oregon San Antonio, Texas San Diego, California Dallas, Texas San Jose, California Detroit, Michigan Jacksonville, Florida Indianapolis, Indiana San Francisco, California Columbus, Ohio Austin, Texas Memphis, Tennessee Baltimore, Maryland Charlotte, North Carolina Milwaukee, Wisconsin Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Montgomery, Alabama Saint Louis, Missouri Cleveland, Ohio Miami Beach, Florida Wichita, Kansas Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Buffalo, New York Akron, Ohio New Orleans, Louisiana Salt Lake City, Utah Providence, Rhode Island Kansas City, Missouri The US dollar is quite cheap compared to the Euro, which means once you make the trip to the USA, you only pay about half the price you would in the UK for the things you buy. However, Most American products are known for speedy delivery more so than quality. But we do have our high-end stores.

I totally wouldn't be able to choose. But if I had to pick I'd go to California, New York or Florida I think. Ohhh actually I don't know. I'd want to visit all the places I did about in history when we did about the opening up of the American West. So yeah, ALL of them!

Fiance's job offer in New Jersey...Opinions / Insight / Advice?
    Question:
So right now, my and my fiance are living right outside of Akron, Ohio. Our combined income is just under $100,000. So where we are, we are doing fine. However, she has a upcoming job offer that may make things a little harder / more interesting. She is a chemical engineer. A rival company could otentially offer her $85,000 / yr according to the recruiter. If I got a $30,000 a year job, we would only be at $115,000 yearly. Right now we have a 2bd / 2bth apt for $710 a month. In or around nj, a 3bd / 1.5bth house costs at least $175,000 or more. While it is a very good career opportunity for her, I just don't know enough about the area to see if we could "make it work". Is anyone familiar with the area and it's expenses? Could I with a solid resume and a 4yr degree with Bus. Econ major / Operations Management degree find a decent job? It would be right next to Ney York City, and close to coast, but I just don't know if we could do it.

    Answer:
Cost of living is outrageously high in the area you are talking about. Apartments, for just 1br, rent for $1500 or more per month - - much more the closer you are to NYC. And a house at $175k - I'd love to know what dumpy town you found that price in. Condo's are going for well over $200k in that area. And property taxes are insane. My mom owns a house in Essex County, NJ - - maybe 20-30mins drive from Manhattan, without traffic. Her property taxes are over $9k per year. Houses in her area start, for a small 2 or 3br fixer-upper, at over $300k. I am sure you would be able to find a job and if your credentials are truly solid I would bet you could make good money at it as well. I say you should talk to your fiance, assess her interest in the opportunity. Make a commitment to give it a certain amount of time. I highly recommend that you rent first before buying so you can really have time to check the area out. You need to do the math. Check websites for rent/houseing prices in towns you are possibly interested in. Also look into the property taxes. You'll be able to determine if you could afford it or if you can't.

what do you thin about his comments?
    Question:
Cleveland is most definitely a football city, but LeBron is without question the face of Cleveland sports right now. That doesn’t mean that he has to root for every Cleveland sports franchise, but he crossed the line when he wore a Yankees hat to the game last night. That’d be like David Ortiz donning a Peyton Manning jersey during a Colts/Pats game in New England or, even worse, Tom Brady wearing a Yankees hat to a Sox/Yankees game at Fenway. You just don’t do it. At the time, what irked me most wasn’t that LeBron wore the hat to the game, but that he taunted the fans — who are, of course, his fans during basketball season — by holding the hat above his head and egging on the crowd. It was an immature and classless move, and at the time I said that it spoke very poorly of his so-called loyalties to his hometown. And now this. As I mentioned previously, athletes are fans too, and they can root for whomever they want. I’m not ragging on LeBron for being a Cowboys fan or a Yankees fan or even a Bulls fan, all of whom he rooted for as a kid growing up in Akron. I do think it’s fair to call him a frontrunner, since all three of those teams were winning titles back then, but that’s not the point. In fact, LeBron choosing to publicize his allegiances in front of Cleveland fans and, in the Indians/Yankees case, even taunting the fans in the process, isn’t even the point anymore. The point now, as Braylon Edwards pointed out, is simple: LeBron James isn’t a Cleveland guy. And that’s very bad news for the Cavaliers and their fans. LeBron can opt out of his contract after the 2009-10 season, at which point the Cavaliers will be able to offer the star forward more money than any other team in the league. That may sound like a big advantage for the Cavs, and maybe it will prove to be. But working against Cleveland is the fact that LeBron’s contract with Nike will reportedly pay him more if he moves to a larger market like New York or LA. Maybe that’s just a rumor, because I haven’t found any concrete numbers on this, but it’s a widely reported rumor that LeBron has never bothered to shoot down. Add on top of that the fact that LeBron would make even more money in endorsements playing in a big city while also inflating his already enormous worldwide popularity, and however many more millions the Cavaliers can offer LeBron will look like chump change in the final equation. And then, of course, there’s LeBron’s buddy Jay-Z, who just happens to be part owner of the New Jersey Nets. The Nets just happened to shed a bunch of salary by trading Richard Jefferson this offseason. They also just happen to be planning to move to Brooklyn and open a brand new arena in 2010. And Brooklyn just happens to be LeBron’s “favorite borough” in his favorite city of New York. Throughout all of this city-wide “will he stay or will he go?” fretting, the one ace the fans thought they had up their sleeve was the fact that LeBron was a hometown guy who actually wanted to stay in Cleveland. Well, I’m not buying it, and neither is Braylon Edwards: “He’s a guy from Akron who likes everybody but his hometown. I don’t know how that’s possible, but it is what it is, and he is who he is. You know, it’s LeBron.” Preach on, Braylon.

    Answer:
Lebron never said he didn't like his hometown. He actually claims he wants to put Akron on the map. I'm FROM Akron. He may be a sports fan for other teams, but don't freak out until he actually says the words, "I want to be traded." We're all worried for him. But if he leaves, I won't blame him. If a guy with as good as skill as he has can't get a ring with this team, then I would leave too. The only people to blame is the management.

    Answer:
There is no question the vast majority of American citizens hail from one denomination of Christianity or another. No one, wishing to be taken seriously that is, can dispute the stats you've presented here. There is no debate, really. Those who do dispute the facts MUST diregard them entirely. Rather than find 'evidence" to support their point of view, they launch ad hominem attacks towards believers. If that sort of behavior is typical of the non-religious person, I'll take Christianity anytime.

Boston College (MA) Emmanuel College (MA) Lesley University (MA) U of Akron (OH) West Virgnia Wesleyan (WV) Marquette (WI) St. Cloud St. (MN) Prescott College (AZ) New York U-Albany (NY) Any suggestions? Answer:
I think that any of those schools if they have counseling psychology as a program should work fine for you. Those are all decent schools and go to the school that accepts you if they have the program you want.
