ANY ONE EVERY BEEN To DEMING NEW MEXICO? Question: IT MY TOWN LOL SUPER SMALL ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY FROM THE BORDER FULL OF POT HEADS AND NUMBER ONE IN TEEN PREGNANCYS IN THE STATE AND NEW MEXICO IS NUMBER ONE STATE FOR PREGNANCY SO ................... YEAH .................. ANY ONE EVERY BEEN THERE?
Answer:
Yes, many times while traveling to/from Las Cruces which is a little better. New Mexico gets a bad rap but at least it is peaceful. Has Deming really become that bad? Perhaps you should consider moving up to Silver City. Hey figure though, at least Deming has a Burger Time!

I'm thinking about relocating to Deming New Mexico. I can find work since I am R.N. Any input appreciated.
Answer:
I live in Las Cruces, just 60 miles East of Deming; and I lived in Deming during 1999 and part of 2000.
It's a peaceful community with several good restaurants but it's kind of boring if you're single. The bars were NOT the kinds of places that ladies would go; there's no bowling alley or movie theater; and you can only go to the tasting room at the vineyard so many times, LOL!
It does have 2 vineyards, the St. Clair's vineyard offers some good wines. Several good churches. The price of housing was very reasonable. A friend of mine bought a house in Deming in 1999 with 3 bedrooms for under $100,000.
I have friends in Deming and go probably once every 2 months. They have a great rock show (for rockhounds and other people interested in rocks and gemstones at a reasonable price) every Spring.
I have to warn you, due to the scarcity of water many people have dirt yards. I'm serious, the wind starts blowing and the sky turns brown from all the dirt flying. My allergies gave me hell when I was working there.

Trying to find listing for Deming ranchettes land owners assn. in Deming New Mexico?
Answer:
Here ya go...
http://www.nmdemingproperties.net/landowners.htm
Yes, I know the address is in Orange Park, Florida, but the area code for the phone is in New Mexico. Also, here is a yahoo group for another group of landowners out there:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DemingLandOwners/
They specifically state they are not the Deming Ranchettes Land Owners Association, but after doing a bit of research, you might want to contact these folks.
There were some HUGE changes in land use ordinances last year essentially making most of the lots sold there unbuildable.
http://lunacountynm.us/resolutions_ordinances.htm#ordinances_
Read Ordinance 37, revised 06.
Also, I found this regarding some land auctions of the ranchette properties. When I did a search of the corporate name, I discovered this...
http://www.sunbiz.org/scripts/cordet.exe?a1=DETFIL&n1= L04000002303&n2=NAMFWD&n3=0001&n4=N&r1=&r2=&r3=&r4=NRLLEAST&r5=
The corporate officers live in California with a Florida LLC regarding property in New Mexico.

I'm still in high school and i desperately need a proxy that will get me through to any site. can anyone help Question: i'm in deming new mexico and damn near all the sites that we (the students) need to acces for research pappers are blocked and we can't get the information we need. can anyone help us out?
Answer:
If there's a page you need to access for research, why not ask your teacher for access? No reputable site is going to be firewalled, unless your school is crazy, at which point they should change their mind if you show true need for it.

Answer:
There are too many people that get "offended" at the thought of GOD at school. We just "can't" teach our children right from wrong...or that we must live our lives so that it's worthy of GOD. Schools are ridiculous nowdays. And it's just gonna get worse...

Why is the U.S. Government allowing the U.S. Border Patrol to send our National Guard Troops home from NM.? Question: According to Deming Headlight Newspaper in Deming, New Mexico. U.S. Border Patrol is screening Natl Guard troops deployed to NM to secure U.S. borders with Mexico. BP does background checks then says troops are a threat to Homeland Security and sends them home. Female SGT holds herself hostage in Comfort Inn July 12, 2006 and threatens suicide. This is true and really happened. Troops respond by saying, oh it's ok to send us to Iraq to get killed but we can't complete our mission at home. What say you. Since when does the U.S. Border Patrol have higher authority than our Troops or President for that matter. Bush deployed them and if they have clearance to go to Iraq and other parts of the world why can't they secure our border with Mexico. I want ANSWERS!
Answer:
well actually being a Border Patrol Agent and a veteran I can answer this..in order to become a BP Agent you have to go through a more extensive background checkthan to become a NG member..the fact is that a BP Agent is a federal Agent and does have more authority than a memebr of teh military..we are sworn to uphold the law while a service member is swornto protect the nation....I would personally allow any NG to help..I have been working with the NG for the last few nights, and they are helping out but the BP and the president have tie dtheir hands, I actually have to protect the NG and be right next to them while they are in the field, stupid use of manpower.
but Deming is tying to make a name for themselves, they are causing me more work and Iam at another station...throughout the Border Patrol the supervisor's are all trying to make names for themselves by adding new rules, and 2nd line supervisors are too far up their butt to tell them it is a stupid idea..the union is working hard to curtail these guys, but it is taking time.
the BP doesnt need the help in the field as much as we could use the help in the ofice, write your congressmen, it takes 3-4 hours of paperwork to depot 1 person..so in other words if I go inthe field and arrest 4 guys my 1st hour, and all 4 need to be deported it will take meat least 12 hours of paperwork to finish...all that time I am not inthe field and more are coming through..if I could just drop atthe station an dhave someone else do the paperwork to deport them I could get right back inthe field and make more a rrests...these people would basicall just need to have office and bilingual abilities, almost like any social worker, it could be a good paying job in teh border towns to help the local economy and created jobs

Let's see,
I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained
she didn't want any prayer in our schools.
And we said, OK..
------------------
Then,
someone said you better not read the Bible in school,
the Bible that says
"thou shalt not kill,
thou shalt not steal,
and love your neighbors as yourself,"
And we said, OK...
-----------------
Dr. Benjamin Spock said
we shouldn't spank our children
when they misbehaved
because their little personalities
would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.
And we said,
an expert should know what he's talking about
so we won't spank them anymore..
------------------
Then someone said
teachers and principals better not
discipline our children when they misbehave.
And the school administrators said
no faculty member in this school
better touch a student when they misbehave
because we don't want any bad publicity,
and we surely don't want to be sued.
And we accepted their reasoning...
------------------
Then someone said,
let's let our daughters have abortions if they want,
and they won't even have to tell their parents.
And we said, that's a grand idea...
------------------
Then some wise school board member said,
since boys will be boys
and they're going to do it anyway,
let's give our sons all the condoms they want,
so they can have all the fun they desire,
and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.
And we said, that's another great idea...
------------------
Then some of our top elected officials said
it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.
And we said,
it doesn't matter what anybody,
including the President,
does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is good....
------------------
And someone else took that appreciation a step further
and published pictures of nude children
and then stepped further still by
making them available on the Internet.
And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....
------------------
And the entertainment industry said,
let's make TV shows and movies that promote
profanity, violence and illicit sex...
And let's record music that encourages
rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...
And we said,
it's just entertainment
and it has no adverse effect
and nobody takes it seriously anyway,
so go right ahead.
------------------
Now we're asking ourselves
why our children have no conscience,
why they don't know right from wrong,
and why it doesn't bother them to
kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.
------------------
Undoubtedly,
if we thought about it long and hard enough,
we could figure it out.
I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...
"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW,"
------------------
Some of you are totaly missing the point!! I'm not picking on America or Schools or Teachers, I am simply trying to show you that it is the Human Being's fualt for what's happening, not God's fault!!

"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW,"
Answer:
We, in spite our of best efforts, cannot keep God out of anywhere... God is everywhere. Families are primarily responsible for teaching faith, hope, love and peace ... not schools. Where was God when those children died? Holding their hands and crying with them and all the parents over the hardness of our hearts toward one another .. all insisting that our God (or violence, or money,or...) is the RIGHT and ONLY way.

First off I didn't write this. Second for the people who said I posted in wrong category, I meant this to target the seperation of Church and state.
I personally think it is just plain "stupid" that people want us to say happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas, along with that one nation under God and in God we trust. Can't people just ignore it?
Also I agree about the music part saying it's just entertainment. Yes, rap has cool beats but the messages are horrible.
I wish that George Washington could come back for a day and would like to know his opinion on America.
Answer:
In my 30 year law enforcement career I watched as the offenders charged with felonies went from the old Con's to the younger criminals. When I first became a Police Officer it was rare to make a traffic stop and be faced with an armed subject. Now it is an everyday occurrence. In my first ten years I would be surprised if I had to pull my gun more than ten times. In my last ten years it was almost everyday. When I was in school we would never think of disrespecting our teachers. If we did we were marched to the Principals office for swats and then we knew we would get it again when we got home from our fathers. It is the decline of morals that are part and particle of the secularist agenda to move us into Socialism. I am concerned for what we will leave to our children and grand children. The answer above mine is a good example of what is wrong. The teachers have control of our children for most of the day. Yes it is the parents responsibility and should be, but values need to be taught in schools also, and I don't mean for your teacher to tell you not to tell when she has sex with you.
