Did you see this, more lucrative to smugglers to smuggle Iraqi's through mexico?
    Question:
Have you seen this and are you worried? Opinions? The FBI is investigating an alleged human smuggling operation based in Chaparral, N.M., that agents say is bringing "Iraqis and other Middle Eastern" individuals across the Rio Grande from Mexico. http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/07/fbi-iraqis-b ein.html

    Answer:
It's not suprising. We can't racially profile people, but we do know that some of the Iraqi's coming here are here to cause trouble. SO the only solution is tostrengthen our position to prevent all illegal immigrants in coming. Message to the pros-side. I know it's inappropriate to racially profile Hispanics, so It's wrong to racially profile Muslims also. How are we going to prevent the radicals from coming in if we don't protect our borders? Either we prevent all illegal immigrants or we let everyone come in, including those who are angry at the war. WHen the illegal immigrants come here, I would assume they don't want to have a bomb blow up in our country. We can't just pick up and question Muslims, because it is wrong, so we need to force everyone through a long screening process to make sure they come here with good intentions. Edit> SOrry I was up late and didn't realize how repetetive I am.

FBI says Iraqis Being Smuggled Across the Rio Grande?
    Question:
The FBI is investigating an alleged human smuggling operation based in Chaparral, N.M., that agents say is bringing "Iraqis and other Middle Eastern" individuals across the Rio Grande from Mexico. An FBI intelligence report distributed by the Washington, D.C. Joint Terrorism Task Force, obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com, says the illegal ring has been bringing Iraqis across the border illegally for more than a year. The FBI report, issued last week, says the smuggling organization "used to smuggle Mexicans, but decided to smuggle Iraqi or other Middle Eastern individuals because it was more lucrative." Each individual would be charged a fee of $20,000 to $25,000, according to the report. See link - http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/07/fbi-iraqis-bein.html Question - What are your thoughts ?

    Answer:
Why on earth would they do that?! Isn't it easier just to travel to Canada, and cross the border without any minute man or Mexican cops in the US, etc.? That doesn't sound very realistic to me.
