As nature moves out of the cold, wet, dark winter toward spring, the pulse of life quickens. As the earth warms, the blossoms unfurl and reaching toward the sky. Nature makes it look smooth. However, for us humans it's not as easy to transition gracefully from one season to the nextÃÂ-especially from winter to spring. More often we find ourselves feeling heavy and sluggish, like a cranky bear reluctantly coming out of hibernation. The Vernal Equinox aka Spring begins on 3/14/10. To enjoy a healthy spring, you need to lubricate the joints. When your body, mind and spirit are in balance, you feel strong, composed, and stable. When it's out of balance, you might feel sleepy, mentally dull, or depressed. You may also experience excess phlegm in the lungs or sinuses, nausea, unhealthy weight gain, water retention, or heaviness in your limbs. You tend to eat, sleep, and stay inside more during winter, which can result in a "winter coat" of insulation. No worries because you will find yourself playing along with ease in something that resembles an impromptu orchestra (it really does become angelic at times). EVENT FORMAT: In the best incarnation of this community concert, you will step up and lead us through at least one verse of your favorite tune and then pass the next verse to the next eager musician. If you're shy, no worries-- Sing backup or in the background! When you're ready to step up, youÃÂ'll know it and then so will we! I have noticed in the past that most of you music lovers would much rather get right to the point and play rather than go to a networking event, sit in an open mic night or even hear me drone on.
