    North Conway, New Hampshire?
    Question:
Going for a weekend away in May. Any good things to do? It will just be my boyfriend and I... I am 21 and he is 23. So good things for young people to do. Comedy clubs, bars, shopping, etc.

    Answer:
As many people said North Conway is great for hiking and the outdoors. If it's nice I would definitely say to try and make it to the lower falls, we'd go there all the time to play in the water and lay in the sun. There is excellent shopping in the outlets but in the "village" there are great little shops with unique merchandise. As for restaurants I would definitely recommend the Moat Mountain Brewery, Decades, and Horsefeather's. Many locals will go to Delaney's for music on Wednesday nights (sometimes other nights too). Horsefeather's will also have music randomly on some nights. There is also the Club 550, which is a dance club sort of bar and there are pool tables, interesting crowd but great people watching. Oh, and there is a great little bakery, Riverstones, which is south on 16 that has amazing treats.

Where is a good spot to have a small wedding in New Hampshire?
    Question:
I am looking for a location for a small wedding (20-30 people) somewhere in NH. I'm thinking maybe the seacoast area, maybe white mountains, anywhere from say Hampton to Conway. Any good ideas? I also need it to be CHEAP, be able to be outdoors or indoors, it may be early spring. We live in Maine but want to get married in NH so my fiance's Grandmother can marry us there. Somewhere we could have the ceremony and a small reception would be great! PLEASE HELP!

    Answer:
lol Anywhere from Hampton to Conway? That's pretty much covering the entire state. Try a nice inn or Resort. For the White Mountains, maybe that hotel at Mount Washington. If it's going to be in the spring time and you'd like it to be indoors/outdoors maybe you should try the Mount Wahington Cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee.

    Question:
The deeded perpetual time share is in North Conway, New Hampshire, at the height of fall foliage season, Columbus Day week in October. The Resort will not help us to sell it as a resale, so we will need a reliable firm to do it for us. We do not want to be waiting for years. We hate to give it up, but we just cannot get up there every year as we once did.

    White Mountains in New Hampshire?
    Question:
i live near Boston (in Peabody) and i am going to the white mountains tomorrow and i am just checking the place out before i plan to stay there or do anything further. And i was wondering where to go i was thinking the following places; twin mountain, North Conway, or the town of mount Washington. I want it to be close and i am willing to here all your suggestions

    Answer:
North Conway is a good place to start. It has a fine main street with good shopping & attractions and is well located to explore the mountains. There isn't really a town called Mt. Washington. You are probably thinking the Bretton Woods Resort located at the base of the mountain. The hotel is well worth a visit as is the cog railroad which goes up the mountain just a few miles away. Twin Mountain is the next town west, a pretty town but you will probably drive through it without stopping. l recomend a ride along the Kangamagnus Highway, through Franconia Notch & loop around through Lincoln to see the Indian head & the resort towns. If you have time for a side trip, try the Weirs on the north side of Lake Winnapesaki. Have Fun.

    new hampshire attractions?
    Question:
i'm a teenager and am looking to take my friend somewhere for her birthday- somewhere fun with some of my other friends.. we are going to be in the north conway region. any suggestions? keep in mind it's only the beginning of spring so we can't go to any of the water parks or anything like that

    Answer:
Bummer. I'm not sure if Canobie Lake's open yet if you're going before May. Same with Fun Town USA in Saco Maine. You could do a bit of spring skiing (just watch the rocks and ice). Bummer that you're between seasons. How bout a trip into Boston. The museum of science is a LOT of fun and afterwards you can hang out and go shopping near there at Kendall Square, Downtown @ Quincy Market, over at the Prudential Center, or hanging out on Newbury street! The Sox also startup in April and other than opening day, it shouldn't be too bad to get some bleacher seats and hang out for a game. Hope that helps!

Planning to visit New Hampshire to see fall foliage - please suggest !?
    Question:
I am planning to visit NH during the first week of october for fall foliage and am driving from NJ. I would appreciate if someone can guide me as this will be my first trip to NH. We are a group of friends planning to travel over the weekend. Which are the best places and route to travel through in order to see the beautiful colours of fall? Any good and cheap hotels in the neighbourhood ? some people suggest conway , some suggest keene ? is it worth taking a train ride etc like the one from Meredith ?

    Answer:
The first week in Oct the leaves will be more colorful the further north you go such as Littleton,Berlin,Colebrook,Errol. Get on Rt 3 north and just keep going. Or take 93 north all the way up to the Littleton area. Or Rt 16 north into North Conway and keep going. There should be hotels avbl along the way but it is tourist season so the prices won't be dirt cheap. I haven't ever taken the train from Meredith( i grew up there) but it won't be peak in the Lakes Region at that time. A popular route is Rt 112 across the Kanc from Conway to Lincoln. Beautiful colors but still a little early. I personally think peak will be Columbus Day weekend.

Is it about time this came out? Some Jehovah's Witnesses want more than to leave Watchtowers ?
    Question:
Towns where Alleged Jehovah's Witness Child molesters have been reported to silentlambs Home Listed by each state If you would to add a new listing contact silentlambs at info@silentlambs.org The list below is designed to alert you to a possible danger in your community. Over the course of the last four years silentlambs has been a repository of reports on alleged Jehovah's Witness child molesters. Victims have reported extensively on times, dates and places abuse occurred. We have wrestled with how to alert the public as well as members that may be in congregations where abusers have been reported. We offer the following suggestions if you as a Jehovah's Witness are in a town/congregation where a report has been made. Do not allow your children to be alone with anyone in the congregation. Escort your children to the bathroom during meetings and make sure no else is with them when using facilities. Never allow your children to be alone in the car with anyone while in field service. Do not allow any member to study with your child alone. Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults. Avoid baby sitters that are adult males. At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times. Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts. Check the local sex offender list in your area, type in the name of every person in your congregation to see if any are listed. Notice any male member of the congregation that does not have privileges such as microphone or other duties around the congregation, especially if for a long period of time. They can offer talks on the TMS or sermons Service Meeting but are not allowed to conduct meetings. (This is only in case of a confessed child molester) Note any member of the congregation that has children with sever rebellion or emotional problems. Do not allow your children to have sleepovers with anyone. Note members that the elders avoid having around their children. If you are a member of the public and your community is on the list take the following steps to protect your family. If Jehovah's Witnesses call at your home never allow them in your home If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call at your home purchase a no trespassing sign and place it near your door. JW's are instructing to only respect "no trespassing" signs any other variation will be ignored. If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call you can also call the local number and ask to be placed on the "do not call" list. They will note your home and check about once a year to make sure you wish to remain on the list. If you choose to study with Jehovah's Witnesses do so at a neutral location such as the local Kingdom Hall or in a public place. Never allow your child to be alone with members or their children. If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members. Remember that most members are not aware of who the molesters are in their congregation according to church policy. They do not know. If two Jehovah's Witnesses call at your door one could be a child molester. According to church guidelines all confessed child molesters are required to have a partner when going door to door. If two Jehovah's Witnesses appear at your door you might wish to ask if one or both are child molesters for peace of mind. Of course keep in mind if the person is an accused child molester they are allowed to work alone in the door to door work. We hope this information is helpful and assists with the ultimate goal of silentlambs, protecting children. Check back as the list is updated on a regular basis. Should I go on the biking trip? Do you know if tthe white mountains are hard?
    Question:
My school is having a biking trip. Heres the info on it Spend first night in Boston. visit quincy market. stay at hloy name parish cent go to conway new hampshire. we wil face 4 2000 foot vertical ascents 55 miles down numerous downhill coasts that can stretch for 8 miles. Stop at Akkitash mountaij rec park(water slides, swimmingclimbing walls) go down franconia bike path. hike a white mountain summit. stop at camp ground and go cliff jumping tubing and water skiing in Lake George. it costs 350 dollars!! i dont think my family is short on money though(10000$ a year);0

    Answer:
I'm trying to make sense of all your information. While I am not a cyclist I am am hiker and my boot prints are all over WMNF summits . In addition I have driven across all the major and many of the minor roads in the Whites Given your information the only thing that I can see you guys doing is a round trip of Rt-112 The Kancamagus Highway from Lincoln to Conway. Rt 112 is always on my top 10 list of great American roads- it's just-a spectacular road. I really hope you guys are in superb shape because cycling it is going to be really hard and then you have the NH weather to consider. It is entirely possible to find yourself in almost zero-visibility in almost freezing temps almost any month of the year. Simply put you're in a cloud The same possibility of crappy weather also applies to hiking to summits in WMNF. The difference being that on a bike you can get out of the weather by descending quickly -on foot it's a much slower and therefore more dangerous undertaking. If your fearless leader's choose to take you guys above timberline on Franconia Ridge and the weather starts turning to junk ,use your head and head downhill following the cairns. I cannot tell you how many over zealous outdoor youth groups I've seen above timber in the Whites that seriously underestimated the environment they were hiking in and almost got their charges killed as a result. The most common cause of death to hikers and climbers in WMNF is hypothermia -so read up on it and understand how to prevent it. As fare as Attitash on RT 302 goes it sounds great and the only Lake George that I can think of is in NY have fun

Do you live in South Carolina??
    Question:
My husband and I are planning on moving to south Carolina in April when our lease is up. We are a young couple and reside in New Hampshire where culture is null and void, theres nothing to do and the winters are butt cold. W e love the water. sun, beach, diversity, and lots of weekend activity's. We were thinking of moving around the Conway area. What do you think, Is this a good place for us, do you like it where you live. We also have small children, so enviorment, schools and safety are important to us as well

    Answer:
I live near Conway, about 20 miles from it in a community called Little River. It is nice, though I'd choose the Carolina Forest area first, due to the school system in Conway. Carolina Forest is about halfway between Conway and Myrtle Beach, and they have wonderful schools. Housing prices are reasonable too, and you'd only be about 5-7 miles from the beach. You could get a nice 3 bedroom house in Carolina Forest for the low 200's to the high 400's. One thing to remember... Horry County is pronounced "Orry" County. The "H" is silent! lol... They get mad at ya' if you get that wrong. Carolina Forest is not a city, it's just the name of an area of the county that lies between the cities of Conway and Myrtle Beach. Taxes are crazy-low... The area built up with thousands of new homes, just in the last 10 years or so... All the schools are new, and state of the art. My father-in-law is the director of educational testing for the school district, so I know what I'm talking about. If you have any other questions, just email me. The shopping and culture are "pretty decent" in this area due to it catering to a large tourist industry, but there are also quite a few retirees. All in all, it's still one of the best values in the country for living near the beach. The beaches are fabulous, as is the golfing, boating and fishing.

Isn't it about time that this came out? Some Jehovah's Witnesses want more than to leave a Watchtower.
