    Boulder City?
    Question:
What can you tell me about Boulder City Nevada? Any info would be great!

    Answer:
Everything Ryan M said was right, except there are a few cool things to do there. Living in Vegas my entire life watching them rip down buildings like a sport makes you a very nostalgic person. Boulder City is virtually untouched from its mid century heyday and has a lot of cool things to see, not really do. There are the ol' swanky motels, like Vegas used to be famous for but now have been replaced with hi-rise condos. They come complete with original neon signs, the entire city is an amateur photographers dream. The historic district is very cool too. The Turquoise Museum is a must see. I personally hate turquoise jewelry, but it is amazing to brows. The Boulder Dam Hotel is a historical site as well. And if your that close to Lake Mead/Hoover Dam then you have to check it out. I recommend a dinner cruise, most romantic thing I have ever been on. If your going in October, they host the world's largest Arts festival in the world at Wilbur Square Park. And if sky diving is your thing, that is where Sky Dive of Las Vegas flies out of. - Hustla' Mike (Workin' this town over, so you don't have to!)

Nevada residents: Any FIREARMS restrictions inside casinos?
    Question:
According to Nevada state law and the laws and ordinances of Clark County and the city of Las Vegas, open carry of guns is not prohibited in any building except government buildings. This would mean, unlike some states, it is legal to carry firearms into bars, casinos, and other places that serve alcohol. (I realize North Las Vegas and Boulder City is different). Am I right, that you can carry in those establishments? I even heard from one enthusiast that those state laws trump any signs that may prohibit firearms--any opinion (KNOWLEDGEABLE ONLY TEENIE BOOPERS AND LIBERALS). What you "know" little boy is nothing more than malarkey fed you by your pea-sized brain and the ramblings of your incoherent babbling parents who are spoonfed lies by the media and movies and cannot tell the difference between truth and allusion. I assure you, little boy, that carrying a loaded weapon holstered into a casino is legal--I asked a specific question, and I didn't ask for your worthless fantasies.

    Answer:
People carry guns into casinos all the time. I haven't seen a sign outside any of the ones I frequent prohibiting them.

    Is this and A paper????
    Question:
im writing a report on Nevada and need to know if this is good. It will say look here for pics but there on a cologe so these are just words... Nevada The state of Nevada was claimed as the 36th state on October 31, 1864.Thats when it became an official state. Nevada’s nicknames are Sagebrush State, Battle Born State, and the most known nickname is the Silver State. The meaning of the name of our state “Nevada” is snow-capped in Spanish. Here are some facts about Nevada; the population is about 1,998,257 people. It’s the 35th largest state (2000 census). Nevada’s Capital is Carson City. The state bird is the Mountain Bluebird and the state animal is the Desert Bighorn. The state flower is Sagebrush and the state tree is Single-leaf Pinon and the Bristlecone Pine. Our state precious gemstone is the Virgin Valley Black Fire Opal. The state song is Home Means Nevada. Home means Nevada, Home means the hills. Home means the sage and the pine. Out by the Truckee’s silvery rills. Out where the sun always shines. There is the land that I love the best, fairer than all I can see. Right in the heart of the golden West, Home means Nevada to me. Our state colors or silver and blue. And the state flag has a green reef looking type of thing on it with yellow flowers. Its says Nevada under a white star. Above the white star there is a scroll saying battle born. The background color of the flag is navy blue. Our states motto is “all for our country.” Here is a picture of what our state looks like, Here is a picture of Carson city, our capital. Nevada is the home of the wild mustangs, which is one of my favorite things about the state. Nevada is bordered by Utah,Arazona,California,Oregon, and Idaho. Here is a timeline of dates that are important to Nevada. • 1821 Mexico claimed the area after a successful revolt against Spain. • 1840's Americans on the way to California traveled through the region. • 1848 Nevada was part of the area ceded by Mexico to the United States. • 1849 The first non-Indian settlement was made at Mormon Station (Genoa). • 1850 When Utah Territory was organized, almost all of present-day Nevada was included except the southern tip, which was then part of the New Mexico Territory. • 1859 The Comstock Lode of gold and silver was discovered at Virginia City, and many miners began coming from California. • 1861 Congress created Nevada Territory. In 1862 the territory was enlarged by shifting the eastern boundary. • 1863 Nevada became a state. In 1866 and 1867 more eastern land was gained from Utah Territory and the southern tip was acquired from Arizona Territory. • 1880 - 1890 As the Comstock Lode declined, the state's population fell from 62,000 to 47,000. • 1900 The discovery of silver at Tonopah, soon followed by gold strikes at Goldfield and the discovery of copper at Ely, led to a new mining boom that lasted until after World War I. Those are some very important history dates of Nevada. One thing you guys might know about Nevada, is Sarah Winnemucca. This is what the wikipedia says about her in the first paragraph, Sarah Winnemucca (born Thocmentony, Paiute: Shell Flower )which is now western Nevada… (ca. 1841 – October 17, 1891) was notable for being the first Native American woman known to secure a copyright and to publish in the English language. She was also known by her married name, Sarah Winnemucca Hopkins, under which she was published. Her book, Life Among the Paiutes: Their Wrongs and Claims, is an autobiographical account of her people during their first forty years of contact with explorers and settlers. Sarah was a person of two worlds. At the time of her birth her people had only very limited contact with Euro-Americans; however she spent much of her adult life in white society. Like many people of two worlds, she may be judged harshly in both contexts. Many Paiutes view her as a collaborator who helped the U.S. Army kill her people. Modern historians view her book as an important primary source, but one that is deliberately misleading in many instances. Despite this, Sarah has received much positive attention recently for her activism. She was inducted into the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame in 1993, and in 2005 a statue of her was added to the National Statuary Hall Collection in the U.S. Capitol. That says a lot about her. Sarah Winnemucca is very well known for bringing peace between Americans and Indians. Nevada is well known for her. Because she was born in what is now western Nevada. She is now in the Nevada hall of fame. Nevada is apart of the Great Basin desert. You can see many miles of beautiful mountains, sagebrush, animals, and so much more!!! Nevada has one of the lowest average rainfalls out of the fifty states: nine inches. You may have heard the poem Mountains as Islands which says the following, Mountains as Islands Each range here is like a warship standing on its own, and the Great Basin is an ocean of loose sediment with these mountain ranges standing in it as if they were members of a fleet without precedent, assembled at Guam to assault Japan. Some of the ranges are forty miles long, others a hundred, a hundred and fifty. They point generally north. The basins that separate them-ten and fifteen miles wide-will run on for fifty, a hundred, two hundred and fifty miles with lone, daisy-petalled windmills standing over sage and wild rye. …Discounting the cry of the occasional bird, the wailing of a pack of coyotes, silence-a great spatial silence- is pure in the Basin and Range. It is a soundless immensity with mountains in it. -John McPhee Basin and Range, 1980 this is a 4th grade papeer just so you know... just read my own paper and fell asleep geese this paper sucks!

How can I make up for my racist upbringing?
    Question:
I grew up right outside of fabulous Las Vegas in Boulder City in the great state of Nevada. I grew up in and Aryan Nations compound with about eleven other families. We were home schooled to the standards of the Aryan Nations doctrine and covenants. We were taught to fear the world terror of the Jew. Every morning when we would rise at 5:30 am we would all gather around the United States flag and the flag of Ayran Nations to chant a song to the popular children's tune of "This Land Is Your Land." The words would go: The Jew is the swine of the Earth, The Jew is the swine of the Earth, Why would we help him destroy the world And then we would pledge allegiance to the United States flag and say a prayer for the protection of all White people in our country. But how can I make up for my racist upbringing? I found a web site where you can give money to help send Jews back to Israel. Is this something that I could do to help the Jews?

    Answer:
I don't think you have to make up for it, it wasn't your fault. The fact that you have realised it was wrong and are sorry is enough, as long as you continue to realise racism is wrong - that is fine.

Is it about time this came out? Some Jehovah's Witnesses want more than to leave Watchtowers ?
    Question:
Towns where Alleged Jehovah's Witness Child molesters have been reported to silentlambs Home Listed by each state If you would to add a new listing contact silentlambs at info@silentlambs.org The list below is designed to alert you to a possible danger in your community. Over the course of the last four years silentlambs has been a repository of reports on alleged Jehovah's Witness child molesters. Victims have reported extensively on times, dates and places abuse occurred. We have wrestled with how to alert the public as well as members that may be in congregations where abusers have been reported. We offer the following suggestions if you as a Jehovah's Witness are in a town/congregation where a report has been made. Do not allow your children to be alone with anyone in the congregation. Escort your children to the bathroom during meetings and make sure no else is with them when using facilities. Never allow your children to be alone in the car with anyone while in field service. Do not allow any member to study with your child alone. Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults. Avoid baby sitters that are adult males. At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times. Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts. Check the local sex offender list in your area, type in the name of every person in your congregation to see if any are listed. Notice any male member of the congregation that does not have privileges such as microphone or other duties around the congregation, especially if for a long period of time. They can offer talks on the TMS or sermons Service Meeting but are not allowed to conduct meetings. (This is only in case of a confessed child molester) Note any member of the congregation that has children with sever rebellion or emotional problems. Do not allow your children to have sleepovers with anyone. Note members that the elders avoid having around their children. If you are a member of the public and your community is on the list take the following steps to protect your family. If Jehovah's Witnesses call at your home never allow them in your home If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call at your home purchase a no trespassing sign and place it near your door. JW's are instructing to only respect "no trespassing" signs any other variation will be ignored. If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call you can also call the local number and ask to be placed on the "do not call" list. They will note your home and check about once a year to make sure you wish to remain on the list. If you choose to study with Jehovah's Witnesses do so at a neutral location such as the local Kingdom Hall or in a public place. Never allow your child to be alone with members or their children. If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members. Remember that most members are not aware of who the molesters are in their congregation according to church policy. They do not know. If two Jehovah's Witnesses call at your door one could be a child molester. According to church guidelines all confessed child molesters are required to have a partner when going door to door. If two Jehovah's Witnesses appear at your door you might wish to ask if one or both are child molesters for peace of mind. Of course keep in mind if the person is an accused child molester they are allowed to work alone in the door to door work. We hope this information is helpful and assists with the ultimate goal of silentlambs, protecting children. Check back as the list is updated on a regular basis. Camping in Lake Mead NRA near Hwy. 93?
    Question:
Traveling from Grand Canyon to Las Vegas airport, then to Zion N.P. Want to pitch a tent somewhere so we have an easy morning drive to the airport. I see campgrounds on Lake Mead, but better would be somewhere close to the highway, maybe along the river below the dam. Any suggestions? How about Boulder City, NV? Might we have better luck finding a campsite on the Nevada side?

    Answer:
The only campground I know of is on the Nevada side. It's close to a major road the 93 which will feed into the airport...just watch for signs. This is the best time of year to camp around the lake it's not hot and just about perfect!!!
