Is Callahan's play calling at Nebraska lacking or what?
    Question:
I am a huge Husker fan and I am so confused and dissapointed with some of Callahans decisions and play calling. Faking a punt on your own 14 yard line vs. Auburn for example. Is this the guy for Nebraska or is he gone in 2 or 3 years?

    Answer:
Play calling is suspect. He overthinks his decisions and the Norvell/Callahan tandem can't manage to win a game that the Cos's defense didn't surrender. But that's not saying much since Auburn's offense was weak in the first place. My guess is Callahan will have a good year, the NFL will come calling, and he'll be gone. Thank you and good night. Hopefully this will all happen next year.

How important is recruiting to a college football program?
    Question:
Do you think that the college who spends more money on recruiting will sign the recruits who they want to sign? I ask this because of the fact that Kansas State has spent the most money in the Big XII this year on recruiting. They are also # 5 in the nation for the most money spent on recruiting. What does it cost? In a recent story on college sports recruiting in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Kansas State was No. 1 among all Big 12 schools in dollars spent on department-wide recruiting at $1.32 million. That figure also ranked No. 5 in the nation, only behind Tennessee ($2.01 million), Notre Dame ($1.76), Florida ($1.45) and Auburn ($1.37). From the Big 12, Nebraska was seventh ($1.28), Texas was 12th ($1.16), and Oklahoma No. 14 ($1.12). The report indicates that K-State spent $450,000 for the use of private planes used for recruiting purposes. http://www.themercury.com/k-statesports/article.aspx ?articleId=2302196e8dcb4cce9cd7a2487fa3fcd7

    Answer:
What comes first the great WINNING program or the recruiting. I don't think it matters what kind of money you have to spend if you have a losing program. Notre Dame has had it rough the last couple of years, I think its going to make it harder for them to recruit the best players. Reports are saying that Ohio state has been out recruiting Michigan, most likely because of their win streak over UofM in the last few years. Even though money is very important, I think the legacy of the program, and the rankings over the last few years matter as well. Recruiting is very important, solid players = solid programs. But don't get me started on those coaches :)

Which football conference is the best in the NCAA right now?
    Question:
Here are the top 4 in each conference according to end of the year standings: Pac-10: USC, Cal, Oregon St, and UCLA Big East: Louisville, West Virginia, Rutgers, and S. Florida ACC: Wake Forrest, Georgia Tech, Va Tech, and BC Big 12: Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, and Texas A&M SEC: Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU Big 10: Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Penn St. How would you rate each set of 4? Back your point up with reasoning, please. And please back it up. I know the SEC is good, but repeating it 50,000 times proves nothing. If you just give a simple answer and run, you won't get my 10 points. Please say why you believe in your answer. And please try to be unbiased. Don't go the Homer route on this one, unless you truly believe it. Wouldn't it be sweet if football did like basketball, and had yearly conference challenges? Like two conferences line up based on the previous years rankings, 1v.1, 2v.2, and so on. Each team uses one of their nonconference games for the challenge. Each year, conferences can rotate who they challenge. Anybody brave enough to throw in a 1-6 ranking of the major conferences, and back that up?

    Answer:
    Numbers are in the following order according to conf. SEC , Big10 , Big12 , Pac10 , ACC , BigE. Teams w/ 10+ W's----- 4 3 1 1 2 3 Teams w/ 9+ W's------- 5 3 4 3 4 3 Teams > .500------------ 8 5 7 6 6 5 Bowl Teams-------------- 9 7 7 6 8 5 Teams in BCS top 20- 5 3 2 2 2 3 If we were toweigh these equally,totals would be: SEC-31, Big10-21, Big12-21, Pac10-18, ACC-22, Big East-19 Each Conf.'s top two BCS teams: SEC: 2,4 Big10: 1,3 Big12: 10,19 Pac10: 5,18 ACC: 14,15 Big East: 6,13 It looks like to me the ranking should be 1.SEC 2.Big 10 (even though top heavy, those top 3 are enough) 3.Big 12 (Oklahoma should be higher w/ 1 loss) 4.Pac 10 5.Big East (did more than ACC w/ 4 fewer teams) 6.ACC

Other football conferences are scared of the SEC including the NCAA.?
    Question:
My name is Sam Oatis and im from louisiana. Every time I talk to my buddies about college football and sometimes watch espn they always talk about how good the other conferences are like pac-10, big-10, ACC, and big-12. I say those conferences are cupcake conferences and are too overrated. Like for example last season auburn won against nebraska, georgia beat virginia tech, lsu killed notre dame and of course florida whipping Ohio state which the people and the media thought were better because they thought big-10 was the so-called big house of college football. Oh here's more, '05 season LSU beat arizona state that are in the pac-10 the same conference USC is in and they also smacked the so-called U you know Miami in the peach bowl 40-3 they same year miami went 8-4 including breaking virginia tech's 8 game undefeated winning streak when they had vick by beating them in virginia. 04' season when Auburn went UNDEFEATED the people instead put oklahoma against USC in the championship.

    Answer:
You my friend just made the case for PLAYOFFS in College football. SEC is tough. No teams really run away in conference games. You take a close loss or two no bowl bid for you! Other conferences have one or two teams that are dominate. USC is Pac 10, and they dominate it. Arizona State is in the same Conf. but got beat by Rutgers. The BCS is all about win-loss records. Have playoffs using the win loss differential system in Conference. That would make for better selection of the teams and a true Champion.

Can you list your overrated college football teams in this decade?
