City DescriptionBigfork is a census-designated place (CDP) in Flathead County, Montana, United States. The population was 1,421 at the 2000 census.
Bigfork is located at 48°3′55″N 114°4′54″W / 48.06528, -114.08167 (48.065214, -114.081700).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.9 square miles (15.3 km²), of which, 5.8 square miles (14.9 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (2.87%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,421 people, 652 households, and 410 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 247.1 people per square mile (95.4/km²). There were 962 housing units at an average density of 167.3/sq mi (64.6/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.33% White, 0.35% African American, 1.06% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 0.07% from other races, and 0.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.48% of the population.
