Questions Possibly Related to Big Timber, MontanaProvided By Y! Answers
Are people from Montana weird? Question: I don't want to sound like a racist here, so let me explain.
In a few days, I'm going on an arts trip to Big Timber, Montana (a few hours outside of Billings, apparently it's in the middle of nowhere.) Anyway, the teacher who's organizing the trip keeps referring to the Montana kids as if they were an entirely different species. She's been on the trip a few times, but I don't really believe her- we all use the same internet, music and TV are pretty similar everywhere now, I don't think that they can be THAT different.
Anyway, are kids from Montana as off-color as she says? (I'm from outside Philadelphia if that makes a difference.)
Answer:
she is trying to tell you that your city folk, east coast ways are different than ours in Montana. Out here people are real. We ranch,we farm, we live in the outdoors, there are no facades here. We dont really care what other people say (though we are very polite and courteous) We have small town values, respect nature and have a better time at a rodeo than a Jonas Brothers concert. come see us with an open mind and ready to live a different life(we consider it better) . Welcome to Montana!!
