City DescriptionLeonard is a village in Shelby County, Missouri, United States. The population was 66 at the 2000 census.
Leonard is located at 39°53′43″N 92°10′51″W / 39.89528, -92.18083 (39.895264, -92.180921).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 66 people, 29 households, and 18 families residing in the village. The population density was 205.8 people per square mile (79.6/km²). There were 40 housing units at an average density of 124.7/sq mi (48.3/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.97% White, 1.52% from other races, and 1.52% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.52% of the population.
There were 29 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.6% were married couples living together, 3.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.9% were non-families. 37.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 27.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 3.06.
